📱📱📱Upwork Update for Freelancers

Starting today, Upwork has officially removed Specialized Profiles.
All portfolio items, work history, earnings, and reviews are now merged into your main profile.

✅ What you should do now:
• Update your main profile professionally
• Add all important skills & portfolio items
• Optimize your title and overview carefully
• Focus on building one strong personal brand

Good news: Your rankings, visibility, and past work are not affected.

❤️ 1️⃣The Biggest Mistake Freelancers Make on Upwork📱

Many freelancers think skills alone get jobs.

The truth is, getting jobs on Upwork is a different skill by itself.
Before applying, stop thinking like a freelancer.

Think like a client.
Ask yourself:

"If I were spending my own money, what type of freelancer would I trust?"

Most freelancers focus on:
• Their skills
• Their experience
• Their certificates

But clients focus on:
• Can this person solve my problem?
• Can I trust this person?
• Have they done something similar before?

This mindset alone will change how you apply for jobs

❤️ 💟 The Truth About Winning Proposals

Almost every proposal says:

• I understand your problem
• I can solve it
• I have experience
Today, everyone writes this. AI can write it too.

So what makes the difference?

A strong proposal has 3 things:

✅ Confidence
✅ A clear approach to solving the problem
✅ Proof of similar work

Don't just tell clients what you can do.

Show them.

Instead of:
❌ "I can build your website."
Say:
✅ "I built a similar website before. Here's an example."
Clients trust proof more than promises.

Tell = Everyone does it.
Show = Few people do it.

That's where opportunities start 📱📱

We announced the closure of Round 7 last week, but the results and requests have been beyond expectations.

In just the past week, 15+ freelancers landed their first jobs and started preparing their profiles for long-term growth👍

Because many freelancers still need profile optimization, reviews, and guidance for their next opportunities, we’ve decided to keep supporting this round for a little longer.

The goal is not just getting the first job.

📱📱 Upwork Tip: Find the Client’s Name Before You Apply

Before sending a proposal, check the client's recent history and previous feedback. You can often find their name there.

"Hi Andy" feels much more personal than "Dear Client" or "Hi There."
In a sea of 50+ proposals, personalization helps you stand out.

Small details win projects.
