Dear 2023/2023 Finalists,

As we approach the Second Semester Examination next week and prepare for the graduation of the 2023/2024 set, we urge all Finalists to review their Academic Status as contained in the . This information reflects the completion of Result Uploads for 400L (2022/2024), encompassing 100L to 400L.

This opportunity allows you to address any outstanding or carryover courses before the Second Semester Examination begins next Week. A similar opportunity was previously provided before the commencement of last First Semester 500L Examination. We recognize that there may be courses that require attention but previously missed, and we encourage you to take advantage of this chance.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AS OUR EXAMINATION COMMENCES NEXT WEEK

This is to advise anyone intending or have already planned to engage in impersonation, cheating or any of the Examination Misconduct Practices to DEAD the plan.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ENTRANCE INTO THE HALL


1:
Duly Signed Course Registration Form Displaying all the courses you wish to write. Any Examination written without Course Registration shall be a waste as the result shall not be uploaded successfully.

2:
Signed and Stamped School Fee Payment Receipt. If you paid prior the increment , you will be required to present the signed Initial Payment Receipt and the Balance paid.

3:
Official Student Identity Card affixed on the neck.

4:
Your Examination must be written with your Matric Number and no other number. This affects majorly new Students.

EXAMINATION RULES AND REGULATIONS


The following examination rules of the University of Abuja shall be applicable for the conduct of all examinations at CDL&CE.


1.
You must be at the examination venue 10 minutes before your examination is due to begin

2.
You must sit at your desks with numbers corresponding to those on their examination cards and must not move your desks.

3.
You are required to sign the attendance slip on your desk.

4.
You may be admitted to the examination room up to 30 minutes after the start of examination but shall not be allowed extra time.

5.
You may be allowed to leave examination room after the first 60 minutes but not before the last 15 minutes of the examination. However, such a student shall not be readmitted unless through the period of his or her absence he or she has been continually under supervision of an invigilator or an examination attendant.

6.
You are required to bring your examination card to each examination and display it on your desk for verification.

7.
You shall not communicate with any other candidate or make any noise or cause disturbance during an examination.

8.
You may call for the attention of the invigilator by raising your hands. Absolute silence must be maintained in the examination hall.

9.
You must not directly or indirectly assist any other candidate or permit him to copy from or use his or her papers.

10.
You must not directly or indirectly accept any document or any unauthorized object into the examination room.

11.
You shall not take any book, paper, document or any unauthorized object into the examination room.

12.
You shall write their examination number at the top of the cover of every answer book and every separate sheet of paper, under no circumstance should you write your names.

13. 
You must do all rough work in your answer books or in any supplementary answer sheets and cross out neatly. Use of scrap paper is prohibited.

14.
You shall not remove from the examination booklet or mutilate any paper or other materials supplied.

15.
You are to stop writing when instructed to do so.

16.
Mobile phones are not allowed in the examination hall.

Any student that violates any of the above rules is deemed to have committed an examination misconduct/malpractice and shall be punished in line with the senate approved penalties.
EXAMINATION MISCONDUCTS AND CORRESPONDING PUNISHMENTS

All students are strongly advised against indulging in any of the under listed acts (1-25) as violators will be sanctioned accordingly:

1
Refusal to be identified and/or searched at the entrance of the examination hall and or refusal to display examination slip on the desk Barring the students from examination for that paper by the chief invigilator and course treated as carry over

Leaving examination hall without permission Self-expulsion from the examination hall duly reported and sanctioned by the chief invigilator and the paper treated as carry over

Rudeness to invigilator during any examination characterized by verbal abuse, insolence, unsavory comments, disobedience etc.

4
Threat and/or physical violence on invigilator or any University staff during the examination or in the context of examination matters.

5
Disruption of examination characterized by:
i. Assault
ii. Violent Behavior
iii. Threat to Life.

Disturbance during examination characterized by:
i. Speaking to other candidate(s) while the examination is going on
ii. Frequent unauthorized movement
iii. Noise Making etc Warning in the first instance and expulsion from the examination hall by the Chief Invigilator on subsequent infraction and the course treated as carry over.

Being in possession of dangerous weapon(s) in and around the examination hall.

Lateness to examination hall; a student may be admitted into the examination hall 30 minutes into the examination  Shall not be allowed extra time

Exchanging information written on question paper, four figure table, etc.
*Here are some tips for examinations:*

1. *Prepare thoroughly*: Review notes, textbooks, and past exams.
2. *Understand the exam format*: Know the duration, question types, and any specific instructions.
3. *Develop a study plan*: Allocate time for each topic and stick to it.
4. *Practice, practice, practice*: Attempt sample questions and past exams.
5. *Stay organized*: Keep study materials, including notes and schedules, organized.
6. *Get enough sleep*: Ensure adequate rest before the exam.
7. *Stay calm and focused*: Take deep breaths, and try to relax.
8. *Read questions carefully*: Understand what is being asked before answering.
9. *Manage your time effectively*: Allocate time for each question and avoid spending too much time on one question.
10. *Review your work*: Check your answers before submitting the exam.

*Additionally:*

- Stay hydrated and energized during the exam
- Use visual aids like diagrams and flowcharts to help explain concepts
- Avoid last-minute cramming
- Seek help from teachers or classmates if needed
- Stay positive and confident

*Remember, preparation and practice are key to success in examinations!*

REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER INTO EXAM HALL

This is to announce to everyone that the Bursary Department shall be visiting from time to time all the Examination Venues to ascertain Payment and Registration Compliance of all Students.

It should be noted therefore that, there shall be no admittance into the Office Examination Hall without the Student's Proof of Signed Payment Receipt and Course Registration Form signifying registration of the course you are to write.

Kindly visit Bursary Department within the Complex to have your Payment Receipts Signed and endeavor to also sign/validate your Course Registration with your Departmental Coordinator.
