This show reminded me of my grandfather the pain that cancer brings to not just the person itself but all the family and friends
memories of the nights he went through all that pain
the way he couldn’t even eat but still tried to smile
the time he looked at his car for the last time and deep down he knew it was the last time
he was imagining his death with each breath worrying what would happen to his Goli

cancer is the typa thing no matter how many times you talk about it it still hurts
thinking about that directors roundtable where the interviewer asked greta gerwig “what is cinema?” & her answer was so heartfelt.. explaining how when you see it, you know. how you don’t miss it from the first shot. that perfectly sums up my experience with pain & glory. a beautiful piece of art about the process of taking our memories and turning them into something new. about the magic of art reaching the one person who it was meant for, even if it takes 30 or 50 years.. and how time evaporates once it that thing reaches you. how it can thrust you back into a moment, full of vivid colors & love, and how it fuels you to keep creating.
