🐂 Larry Fink: Bitcoin is an Asset Class, Like Gold

⏺ Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, has recognized Bitcoin as a valid investment, likening it to gold. In the Q3 2024 earnings call, he addressed Bitcoin's potential for market growth despite existing regulatory hurdles. Fink expressed a positive outlook on Bitcoin's future, highlighting the influence of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology on global finance.

⏺He remarked, "We consider Bitcoin to be an asset class in its own right," and noted the growing acceptance of digital assets. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has seen $23 billion in inflows since its launch in January 2024, while the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) attracted over $1 billion within its first two months.

⏺ Fink forecasted that Bitcoin could eventually rival the US housing market, which is currently valued at $49.6 trillion. He underscored the significance of transparency, liquidity, and analytics for the advancement of digital assets.

⏺Currently, electricity consumption for mining purposes in Ethiopia is 600 MW, which accounts for over 10% of the country's total consumption of 5,200 MW. This highlights the significance of cryptocurrency mining for Ethiopia's economy.

⏺By the end of 2024, the government plans to increase mining capacity by several hundred megawatts, with hydroelectric power stations remaining the primary source of energy.

⏺A favorable regulatory environment and support from the government create conditions for innovation and the implementation of advanced technologies in mining operations. 📈 According to a CoinDesk report, market sentiment is shifting towards buying, fueled by positive economic indicators from both China and the United States. The Fear and Greed Index in the cryptocurrency space has moved out of the fear territory and is currently at 73 out of 100.

⭕️ Bitcoin's price experienced a significant surge following the gains in Chinese stocks during the morning session on October 14.

🐂 The Trump Family's Crypto Project Sold Tokens for Only 4% of the Planned Amount

⭕️The sale of tokens for the crypto platform World Liberty Financial, which includes three of Donald Trump's sons on its team, was personally announced by him through his account on X. The platform is built on the Ethereum blockchain and utilizes the largest lending crypto protocol on the market, Aave.

⭕️Despite the hype, the project team managed to attract only 4% of the amount they aimed to raise from the token sale. According to the project's "roadmap," they planned to raise $300 million through the sale of WLFI tokens, with a project valuation of $1.5 billion, but the actual sales volume amounted to only $11.5 million.

⭕️According to the terms, buyers are not allowed to sell or even transfer WLFI tokens to anyone for a year.
