A new Russian propaganda video features a US city councilor who joined the Russian army after fleeing pedophilia charges.
Several Russian military correspondents have released a video of a "former American soldier named Will" talking about his experience joining the Russian army. According to the journalists of the independent publication, the man in the video is Wilmer Puelo-Mota, a 27-year-old former city councilor of Holyoke, Massachusetts, who was charged in 2020 with possession of child pornography.
Puelo-Mota's trial was scheduled to begin in January 2024. A Rhode Island court reportedly issued a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear for a hearing. The slightly dark-skinned American, meanwhile, was already heading to Istanbul, and in February he was allegedly already near Avdiivka.
