The boxing world was stunned to learn of the news that “Marvelous” Marvin Hagler died on Saturday at the age of 66.
His wife made the announcement on Hagler’s Facebook fan page and said her husband “passed away unexpectedly” in their New Hampshire home.
However, absent from all the news coverage and ensuing obituaries has been Hagler’s cause of death.
That lack of disclosure drew attention to a social media post from fellow boxing legend Thomas “Hitman” Hearns, with whom Hagler had arguably his greatest triumph in the ring back in 1985.

All of us have been fed a dose of daily fear by a very powerful agenda.
We are a country that has lived free for decades thanks to those who fought for it. We cannot believe that our government would do this without good reason, so we complied .
I do not see anyone who has been eager for the vaccine as a sheeple or a fool. I feel it's wrong to insult their decisions especially knowing the enormous campaign that's persuaded them. The belief that all this is for our own good is paramount and will outweigh any rational evidence you put before people.
There's nothing more powerful than a government that claims to have your best interest at heart and when it's your health it feels very personal. People have accepted this interference from government through trust.
That's how it should be, however after four years of witnessing how untrustworthy governments actually are using Brexit as an example, I decided to dig a little deeper.
You're not sheeple you're not fools you did everything right, you dutifully wore your mask , eagerly queued for your vaccine and you expect protection and freedom in return. the saddest thing is we are not going to get it.
The lock and release is in play, it will stay in play and Ferguson and Fauci will continue to take advice from China that it doesn't even apply these restrictions themselves. Their economy is booming. At least recognise politics is in play here.
I have no interest in changing people's minds I just believe we have the right to decent news and honesty with figures.
I can confidently say we have not had it.
So I share the findings that FB will allow.
The same proportion of decency I suggest should be applied to those who are reluctant to accept this jab.
They are not murderers they are not causing harm to anyone.
The jab does not offer the protection that many of your claims suggest that's why three months after your injection you are still asked to shield.
The only benefit is the the chances of needing hospital treatment is less, any other claims are fiction.
There has been no attention drawn to the impact it has on your own immune system and the drawbacks to the ability to fight other issues. what ever you may think I do not believe you have had informed consent.
The Information had been blinded by the enthusiasm, because all we could see is... freedom awaits.
I will repeat , we are not getting our freedom back and the laws will be extended without any evidence of benefits at this time.
Travel will be made prohibitive, flights will involve expensive testing and quarantine this is planned till 2023. It won't affect the better off but it will have an impact on holiday budgets if suddenly a family of four are faced with £500 of testing to have a week in Benidorm.
Boris sees the budget airlines business as a necessary sacrifice in working towards his carbon neutral target. Boris sees crushed small businesses as calataral damage, more people working from home , helps the quest for a carbon neutral future.
Everything is connected what ever is going on these circumstances are not simply about protecting you. We have been forced to accept the most Draconian measures since The Berlin Wall was built.
All done on the back of Ferguson and his abysmal modelling and close work with the Chinese Communist Party .
The opposition to my common sense thinking is a big machine that claims to have your best interest at heart, no one can fight that.
As long as we can decide for ourselves what we do with our own bodies and those who don't want the jab just yet are not bullied by those that mistakenly claim they're taking it for the safety of others, that's fine by me.
