Urgent Request to Prevent Executions of Iranian Protesters

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to express serious concern regarding reports of death sentences and the imminent risk of execution of Iranian citizens in connection with the recent events of January 7 (18 Dey).
According to credible reports, several detainees have been subjected to unfair judicial proceedings, including denial of access to independent legal counsel, forced confessions, and severe violations of due process. These practices contravene international human rights standards, particularly the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
I respectfully urge your office to closely monitor these cases and to call on the Iranian authorities to immediately halt any executions, ensure fair and transparent trials, and uphold the fundamental right to life.
International attention and action at this moment are essential to prevent irreversible human rights violations.
