Handcrafted runic ornaments made from clay, featuring a silver foil deer design decoupaged across one side, and hand painted silver runes on the opposite side, which I adorned with holiday botanicals and linework. I fastened them all with green silk ribbon and hand-sewed each bell at the top of the bows.
Each set comes with 4 different ornaments, the deer designs will vary slightly, but all will have the same 4 runes. Sowilo to honor the Sun and its journey, reminding us of light in the winter darkness. Wunjo to bring joy and happiness, fellowship and good luck. Othala to represent the home and the hearth, and Algiz to offer it all protection.
This is limited to 6 sets of 4 ornaments, $25 per set.
Shipping to anywhere in the U.S. is included with the price. As always, thank you tremendously for the support!

Title: She Who Dwells Beyond The River
Medium@ Oil-on-Digital
Time: 40+ Hours (Over 3 months)
Theme: German Folklore
Finally, after three months of slow, intermittent painting, she is here; she is done! The painting of German Goddess Hertha or Erda.
The painting illustrates a vast German landscape of imposing mountains and a dense forest of all things wondrous, enchanting, and yes, even portentous (think about the many fairy tales which take place in such environments: both exciting but equally horrifying). A calm, soothing river runs through the heart of the landscape as Hertha sits on a rock, observing her White Stag - on whom she rides during the Wild Hunt. The snake is one of the animals which feeds Hertha in the land of the dead. The river acts as the liminal space between the realm of the living and the dead.
