The media hails it as "democratization of ownership" โ deceptive marketing to obfuscate the truth, that it ELIMINATES PRIVATE OWNERSHIP of homes and farms. The real ownership stays in these REITs, holding companies, BlackRock, et al.
They said "You'll own nothing and be happy." And they meant it. You get a fractional share and a dividend. They keep the asset and the control.
Want to get rich quick? Pitch CarSlicer: "As cars become too expensive to own, CarSlicer makes it possible for the common man to own a slice of a robotaxi fleet!"
