hole #4, Flowering Crab Apple. until this point Augusta National has offered average length par 3,4 & 5 holes but the 4th steps up the difficulty quite a bit and gives players a preview of what lies ahead. a demanding 240 yard par 3 that historically plays as one of the most difficult on the course. birdies on #4 are very rare and a par here will still gain strokes on the field โณ๏ธ

Ricky Vaughn was found guilty of memes, vigorous hand wringing occurring all over Manhattan at this hour. what a joke
hole #9, Carolina Cherry. the last hole on the outward half is a 460 yard dogleft left par 4. the green on #9 slopes severely back to front, if the players miss long the up & down is nearly impossible. the front 1/3 of the green is a false front, come up short and thereโs a good chance the ball will roll back into the fairway. distance control is the name of the game โณ๏ธ
hole #11, White Dogwood. the 11th hole is a 520 yard par 4 (not a typo), it historically plays as the 2nd most difficult hole in relation to par. a huge tee shot is required to even have a look at the green in regulation, less than ideal tee shots lead to players intentionally hitting second shots to the right of the green in order to avoid the pond. a birdie on #11 is a special deal and is good for 1.5 strokes gained on the field โณ๏ธ
