Now I'm getting a better understanding of the situation regarding "MIOS", after a quick investigation, I discovered that the name "MIOS" originated as a meme or discussion in a Chinese forum. Initially, many enthusiasts started speculating that Xiaomi might abandon MIUI in favor of MIOS due to this meme.

However, it seems that this idea has gained more attention recently, thanks to a user on Weibo (u/6048569942) — whom I'm not personally familiar with but is considered reliable — making the following statement: "MIUI 14 will be the last major update of MIUI". Interpreting this statement leads to the belief that Xiaomi is planning to conclude the update cycle of M14 and transition to MIUI 15 instead of continuing with new versions within M14, such as MIUI 14.0.1, 14.2 and so on, effectively closing the chapter on MIUI 14.

#1 - Open your browser and in the address bar, type or paste the following link:

For Edge: edge://flags/#enable-parallel-downloading
#2 - Choose the "Enabled" option and then click the "Restart" button to apply the changes.

Supercell has just announced that Clash of Clans and Clash Royale will be launching on PC through Google Play Games (currently in Beta).

As always, Supercell's regional release strategy remains in effect, which can be a bit frustrating. These two games are available now as a soft launch in Canada, Chile and Singapore and will be rolling out to all Google Play Games users in these countries today.

These official releases through Google Play Games will support mouse controls, optimized graphics, and high-end performance capabilities.

A global password sharing crackdown is expected to be implemented across the streaming platform sometime in 2024.

Disney+ has unveiled new guidelines for subscribers, outlining the implications of the password crackdown and how they will be enforced moving forward. Starting from November 1st, Disney+ introduced password sharing regulations in Canada and this is expected to expand to the UK and potentially other regions worldwide in the near future.

"Later this year, we will begin to update our subscriber agreements with additional terms and our sharing policies. And we will roll out tactics to drive monetisation sometime in 2024."

Note the use of "could" because currently, we have various modules that modify the interface of the MIUI Control Center.

In the new Control Center, we notice new rounded icon styles, the media player located near the volume and brightness slider buttons, default WiFi and Mobile Data connection labels used in previous MIUI versions. Of course, nothing is confirmed. These are just speculations. There are also adjustments to the app icons, which are larger compared to MIUI 14.

Xiaomi recently registered the names Hyper and Pengpai. When we talk about "MIOS", it's not clear and there's no accurate information about it.

However, the reason behind Xiaomi's decision for this change has not been detailed at the moment. Keep in mind that some companies use different names for their Android based systems in both the Global and Chinese (or local) markets. A simple example is Vivo, which uses the name OriginOS in the Chinese market and FuntouchOS for the Global market.

If you or someone you know has been blocked by YouTube for using ad blockers, add the following filters, and you'll be able to use YouTube again. The filters have been tested on uBlock Origin.

First, make sure that the extension is up to date. Continue, open the uBlock Origin settings, go to "My Filters", and type or copy and paste all of this:

If you're one of those people who can't stay on a ROM for more than 2 days or for any other reason that I don't know and you always need to reinstall exteraGram (in this case) and configure all your preferences. Well, in version 10.1.2, the option to export your preferences has finally been added.

Go to your exteraGram Preferences » Others » Export Settings. Save it in a group or in your saved messages, anywhere you like, and when you want to restore, just click on the file you saved before. It's as easy as that.

It's official: HyperOS will replace MIUI

Xiaomi's CEO has confirmed that the chosen name for the new system, which may operate exclusively in the Chinese market, is HyperOS.

HyperOS, Xiaomi's new system, will be based on Android but promises stability and smoothness. The first devices to come with HyperOS "on board" will be the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. According to rumors, the official announcement for these devices is expected to take place on October 27. HyperOS is "essentially" MIUI 15 with a different name.

What is still not known officially is how the new system's interface will look and whether Xiaomi intends to release it only in China.

The new Control Center for HyperOS is real, as we posted earlier. It's already available for those using MIUI 14 based on Android 13. You can download the APK and install it.

From these leaked images of HyperOS, it seems that you'll be able to customize the format, style and font of the clocks on the lock screen. It's quite similar to what we have in Samsung's OneUI. However, there isn't much information available on whether it will support adding widgets.
