➡️ He says he expects the U.S. to impose visa restrictions on Brazil’s Health Minister, Alexandre Padilha, and likely on former President Dilma Rousseff, linked to the Cuban doctors’ exchange program sanctioned by Marco Rubio;

➡️ After meeting with U.S. officials, Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro said he expects financial sanctions against the wife of Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes, who is overseeing his father’s trial.

Today, Eduardo Bolsonaro and I concluded an intense two-day schedule in Washington, D.C., with meetings at various agencies and with authorities from the U.S. administration — a level of dialogue that the current Brazilian government seems to have difficulty establishing. Our goal was to directly present our perspective on the serious political situation in Brazil and to share our views on possible courses of action.

The decisions rest solely with President Donald Trump and his secretaries, but we return with the certainty that the United States is committed to helping Brazil restore its freedoms. The pressure in this direction is far from over. For those who love freedom, there is much to celebrate. For tyrants, much to fear. May common sense prevail, and may our country get back on track, restoring its historic partnership with the cradle of democracy and the most prosperous nation in history.
