🇧🇷🇺🇸⚡️🖕⚖️ — Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), federal deputy and son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, celebrated the decision by the United States Treasury to include Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes under the so-called “Magnitsky Act”:

"The world is watching Brazil. Today, the U.S. announced sanctions against Alexandre de Moraes under the Magnitsky Act, used against human rights violators. This is a historic milestone and a warning: abuse of power now has global consequences.

It’s time for Congress to act. A broad, general, and unrestricted amnesty is urgent to restore peace, return freedom to the persecuted, and show the world that Brazil still believes in democracy.

The 50% Moraes Tariff is just a symptom of what the country has become: isolated and at odds with its own citizens. We need to rebuild bridges, not walls.

This is not about revenge, but about justice. It’s not about politics, but about dignity. It’s time to turn the page, TOGETHER! In the end, gentlemen, the great Chesterton was absolutely right:

‘One of the eternal paradoxes of human politics is the fact that only the man brave enough to challenge the dragons may discover they are just lizards.’"

🇺🇸🇧🇷⚖️👨‍⚖ — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio states that no allied judge will be able to save Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes from the sanctions.

President Donald J. Trump and US Treasury Department have sanctioned Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes under the Global Magnitsky sanctions program for serious human rights abuses. Let this be a warning to those who would trample on the fundamental rights of their countrymen—judicial robes cannot protect you.
