This is interesting from a political history perspective.

The ADL and its people understand (and understood) that direct, “real” democracy composed of old stock whites would immediately lead to all their tricks being harshly and efficiently eliminated. This is put on display in the microcosm of Leo Frank.

This was an issue, being as those whites controlled the strongest, wealthiest power in the world.
