The only reason the DR exists, insomuch as it’s a coherent group, is because it is the side of truth. If it does not care about or loses the truth, it deserves to brutally fail.

The whole point of Christianity is that we had a Pagan past before it that we’re beyond proud of because our Pagan gods were less bad than everyone else’s.

A Christian woman encounters difficulty due to modern ideology and doctrine about the equality of women and men.

What do the ordained LCMS “conservative” clergy do? Try to dismantle the false doctrine of equality? Point out how much modern society has deviated from truth? Touch upon the failings of Christendom towards men and usurpation of power by women?

Hell no! They disown clear teachings of Christianity for millennia.

It’s actually the early church that was wrong. Chrysostom may have been preaching pure scripture, the divine Word of God, but it doesn’t feel good

And we’ll be damned if we try to make people uncomfortable. It was Greek influence on the Church that led them down the path of dirty, evil inequality. Besides, I’m sure they didn’t actually mean it!

And this is the heart of the matter. The sinful, false doctrine of inequality has so pervaded the modern LCMS clergy that merely believing what God says about the state of men and women implies to them devaluing the gift won for all Christians.

Any other generation gone before would recognize this as pernicious heresy.

Here’s another pastor, attempting to comfort the woman as if she’s encountered some great tragedy (perhaps encountering Christian teaching is a tragedy to the modern pastor).

It’s sinful to say that men and women are not equal and have different roles and functions, as implied by this “faithful” clergyman in league with the LCMS! But yeah, we’re the pure Christians teaching pure Christian doctrine!

And another, this one lamenting how tough and terrible the job is of being a mainstream mouthpiece five years behind! Oh if only he could’ve been a woman then he wouldn’t have to be responsible for losing the spiritual war that so ravages Christianity today.

Disgraceful.

Every time I read and learn more about birth control, I become ever more grateful to have found someone never to have been on it. That feeling is more than balanced out by the fact that my church apparently sees no problem with brith control, contradicting scripture, their nature, their namesake, and their responsibilities.

Actual, real Christians must push back on these subversive allowances if they want their congregation and church to make it.
