💰 TRON tests quantum-resistant crypto wallet protection

The TRON blockchain has deployed quantum-resistant signatures in the Nile testnet. The announcment was made by project founder Justin Sun.

The solution is based on the algorithm standardised by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), applied to both transaction and block signatures.

Now the technology is working in the Nile testnet only, where developers will verify its stability and compatibility before any potential deployment to the mainnet.

Current blockchain security relies on encryption that cannot be broken with existing technology. Quantum computers, however, are expected to change that in the foreseeable future.

TRON is not the first to move in this direction. On July 1, NEAR Protocol also announced quantum-resistant signatures in its testnet.

⚙️ How to set up fees in Trybit

Project settings allow choosing who pays the fees: the customer or the merchant. This applies to two types of charges.

Service fee. Up to 1.9% of the incoming payment amount, depending on project conditions.

Transfer fee. Charged for payments on Tron and Ethereum networks. It is required for Trybit to consolidate all incoming transactions to a single main merchant address. No transfer fee applies on other networks.

When set to Customer, the fee is added to the invoice amount. When set to Merchant, the fee is deducted from the amount credited to the balance.

🟪 Static Wallets in Trybit

A static wallet is a permanent address for receiving cryptocurrency payments.

The customer sends funds to the same address every time, without creating a new invoice or navigating to a payment page. Funds are automatically credited to the merchant's balance after all fees are deducted.

How it works: the user goes to the top-up section on the merchant's website, creates wallets for the required cryptocurrencies, sends funds by address or QR code, after which the received amount is automatically credited to their balance and the user receives a successful payment notification.

Static wallets can be managed manually in project settings or via API. When creating one, select the project, currency, and enter the user identifier within your system.

💰 Dormant 2010 Bitcoin wallet activated after 16 years

In August 2010, when Bitcoin was trading at $0.06, a wallet received 40 BTC worth a total of $2. The coins sat untouched for nearly 16 years.

On July 8, all 40 BTC were moved at a price of $62,200 per coin. The price had grown 1,036,666 times over that period, turning the original $2 into $2.48 million in profit.

These are coins from the Satoshi era. In the summer of 2010, crypto exchanges did not yet exist, and Bitcoin was mined by early adopters on regular computers with a block reward of 50 BTC.

Transaction records show the original 50 BTC block was split: 10 went to another address, while 40 stayed in the wallet that would remain dormant for 16 years.

💳 How to accept cryptocurrency payments

There are several ways to accept crypto payments, each suited to different needs.

➡️ Transfer to a crypto wallet. The simplest option: share your wallet address with the customer. Works for small volumes and donations, but requires manual tracking of every transaction.

➡️ QR code. Works the same way, but the customer simply scans the code instead of entering payment details manually. This reduces the risk of transfer errors.

➡️ Custom payment module. A full on-site integration with a smooth checkout experience. Requires development time and budget.

➡️ Crypto processing. Full automation: amount conversion, payment address generation, transaction confirmation, user notification, and funds credited to the merchant's balance. Convenient for both businesses and customers.

Trybit is a crypto processing service with fees up to 1.9%, support for over 40 cryptocurrencies, and integration via API, HTML widget, or ready-made CMS modules.

🟪 What is KYC and does Trybit require it

KYC (Know Your Customer) is the process of verifying a customer's identity. Banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, and other financial services use it to confirm users' identities and improve transparency.

KYC helps reduce the risk of fraud and builds trust between participants in financial transactions. At the same time, it limits anonymity and requires users to provide personal information and complete a verification process.

Trybit does not require KYC. The platform is a technical solution for developers that automates cryptocurrency payment acceptance. Any individual can connect regardless of citizenship.

💰 South Korea expands its digital payments pilot

South Korea's Financial Services Commission has approved the second phase of Project Hangang, a CBDC-based digital payments experiment. The number of wallets will increase from 100,000 to 500,000, while participating banks will expand from 7 to 9. The next round of testing could begin as early as September.

The wallet holding limit will rise from 1 million to 10 million won, while the total transaction limit will increase to 100 million won. Users will still not hold CBDC directly. Instead, payments will be made using deposit tokens issued by commercial banks.

The second phase will also introduce wallet-to-wallet transfers, biometric authentication, automatic balance top-ups, and smart contracts for selected government payments.

🌐 Payment gateway vs payment processor: what is the difference

Both terms are often used interchangeably, but they serve different functions in the online payment chain.

➡️ A payment gateway is the part of the system that customers interact with during checkout. It collects payment details, encrypts them, and securely forwards the information to the payment system. The gateway ensures secure data transmission but does not process the payment itself.

➡️ A payment processor handles the payment after receiving the data from the gateway. It sends an authorization request to the customer's bank, verifies that the payment can be completed, and returns the transaction result. Many processors also provide fraud prevention, refunds and chargeback handling, as well as support for KYC and AML compliance.

Trybit combines the functions of a payment gateway and a payment processor, automating crypto payment acceptance. It supports 40+ cryptocurrencies, WalletConnect, AML checks, and integration via API, HTML widget, Host2Host, or ready-made CMS modules.

🚨 AI is getting its own wallet

One of the biggest limitations of AI agents has been their inability to make payments on their own. That is starting to change.

Coinbase, Circle, and OKX are developing solutions that give AI agents their own crypto wallets, allowing them to make payments within predefined limits. This means an agent could pay for API access or even trade assets without human involvement.

Crypto is well suited for these use cases. Blockchain makes it possible to set spending limits while maintaining a transparent and verifiable record of transactions.

💰 Fiat vs cryptocurrency: what businesses need to know

Fiat money is issued by governments and derives its value from institutional trust. Cryptocurrency exists independently of any government and runs on blockchain technology, where all transactions are recorded publicly and cannot be altered.

Key differences between crypto and fiat:

➡️ No centralised control. Governments cannot unilaterally change the rules of issuance.

➡️ Speed and low fees. Transactions go directly between users without intermediary banks.

➡️ Anonymity. The blockchain stores no personal data and transactions are anonymous.

➡️ Irreversibility. Payments cannot be cancelled or reversed, which protects businesses from fraud.

For companies working with international partners, cryptocurrency remains a convenient way to make cross border payments. Trybit provides a ready to use solution for accepting crypto payments with fast onboarding and seamless integration.

🌐 Why cryptocurrency is so volatile

Volatility measures how much an asset's price changes over time. Cryptocurrencies are significantly more volatile than most traditional assets. Here is why.

Main reasons for high volatility:

➡️ Lack of regulation. In most countries, crypto operates without clear legal frameworks, which leaves room for speculation and fraud.

➡️ No real collateral. Unlike fiat currencies or stocks, most cryptocurrencies are not tied to real-world assets. Their value is driven purely by demand.

➡️ News and social media. Expectations and rumours often move the market more than actual events.

The most volatile coins include BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, and DOGE. For businesses looking to avoid exchange rate risk when accepting payments, Trybit offers auto-conversion of incoming payments to USDT.
