We are seeing this new trend where US embassy is issuing #DS5535 after a delay of 4-5 months these days.
This is really strange and seems like another strategy to delay processing.

Canada vs Australia PR. Both have high taxes, free public healthcare, lower salary than US, lower population. Canada is better for #H1B people in US due to time zone.

For People in US currently: With #S386 taking small steps, I still recommended to apply either Canada or Australia or both PR if you are in the age range of 36-40.

CEAC changed the form 221g status update from 'Administrative processing' to 'Refused' on March 3, 2020.

It has caused panic all over the world. There is NO need to worry.

This is just a way to say your case is pending form 221g processing. Earlier, the status used to show 'Administrative processing' but, no now it is showing 'Refused'.

We have real #H1B cases from Chennai and Hyderabad embassy where passport was requested last week and still their case status changed to 'Refused' on March 3, 2020.

My opinion:
The employment termination should not be done simply on the basis of H1B worker catching CoronaVirus.

You can use your employer group medical insurance to get treatment.

You will most probably be quarantined and would be placed under state provided medical screenings as the #CoronaVirus cases are under limelight.
Your visa status should not be affected and you can come back to work normally once you are cured.

US Embassy in India has cancelled all visa stamping interview appointments including #H1B, F1, Immigrant visa starting Mar 16, 2020.

There is no explicit information shared by US embassy for dropbox appointments.

We think that dropbox appointments may also be cancelled due to the bans enforced by Indian government for public gatherings.

Restart date will be notified later when situation improves.

The earliest available US visa appointment on US visa appointment India website shows as Oct 1, 2020.

This will probably change once #Coronavirus threat level is lowered by WHO and US & Indian government.
