Do the tarot cards symbolize the man's journey, the journey of the hero? The first card is the fool. we are born ignorant & indeed foolish.
We are ruled by magicians, the high priestess, emperors (kings and presidents) & empresses (queens) as well as hierophants like priests, the pope & spiritual gurus or masters.
Along our journey we aquire lovers, a chariot to get us to work & strength. Later in life we become an old hermit as most people in the world want to have nothing to do with us. The wheel of fortune or Fate is bringing Justice to us.
Next comes The Hanged Man & Death as we get old & die & meet the Devil who lives in a Tower with lightning.
At death we are attracted to the white light of a Star. Our soul is caught by the soul catcher on the moon & we go through the tunnel to the white light of the astral sun where Judgment awaits (life review & council) & we are eventually convinced to come back to the world to be born again to atone for sins or to evolve.
