Community leaders have demanded the return of the stolen money within three days and the arrest of the accused, saying that if justice is not done, then a befitting response will be given, including strong protests and road blockades.


The city residents say that the temple is the center of their faith, and such incidents increase the feeling of insecurity among the minorities. An appeal has been made to the administration to immediately investigate through CCTV footage and bring the perpetrators to justice, so that the wounded hearts can find some peace.

A distressing incident has been reported from Bukhari Farm in Kot Ghulam Muhammad, near Mirpur Khas, involving the alleged abduction and forced conversion of a 12-year-old Hindu girl, Lachmi Kolhi. Reports indicate she was taken to Samaro, where her age was falsely recorded as 19 on a marriage certificate issued by Pir Omar Jan Sirhindi to bypass legal protections.

This case highlights the ongoing vulnerability of minority girls in Sindh, where abduction and underage marriage persist despite existing laws.
