I’m back to Vietnam, Muine! The kitesurfing season is over here, but you still can kitesurf with large sizes kites like this. This is my new light-wind Core Nexus 13.5m. Great kite for freestyle and waveriding.
MikroTik user meeting is coming soon to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Have some ideas to do a presentation. This pic is from MUM Vietnam 2019. https://mum.mikrotik.com/2019/MY/info/EN

That was my very first attempt to make a public speech in English. Was doubting if it’s good idea or not to try.
My crazy idea: why not?
Yes, I even almost didn’t have any Russian public speech experience. My MUM in Moscow 2017 was very tough, very bad reviews on YouTube, sorry for that.
In December 2018 I sent an mail to the MikroTik MUM management to offer the same presentation as i did in Moscow, but in English.
Okay, at least my English is simple enough to be clear for Vietnamese engineers. Also i was keeping in mind that my presentation will target YouTube viewers worldwide. The more simple - the better in my case.
Another challenge was to translate Russian insider jokes into Vietnamese mentality.

My presentation was the highlighter of that MUM in Saigon and also was 3x time longer than my time quote lol. MikroTik crew guys tried to hurry me up, but finally allowed me to do that out-of-schedule freeform performance :)
Right after that MUM MikroTik crew strongly advised me to pass the exam to become a certified MikroTik Trainer in Vietnam. There are totally no MikroTik trainers in Vietnam.
I’ll do that. Definitely.

Just applied for MikroTik MUM Malaysia 2019 with the following presentation:

MikroTik IPSec ike2 VPN server: easy step-by-step guide
In this presentation i'd like to show you how easy to make your own IPSec ike2 server for mobile remote access. You will understand how to issue certificates, set up ike2 ipsec, setup firewall and NAT, adjust MTU settings, understand the VPN routing. I'll show you how to setup ike2 clients (iOS, MacOS, Windows, Android)
I'm also going to show you the performance difference between ike2, l2tp/ipsec and OpenVPN. Very friendly step-by-step guide for beginners and intermediate MikroTik users.

Hope to be approved. Fingers cross. Posting from:
