Be Busy with Seeking Knowledge - Ignore the Rabble-Rousers: A Blessed Summer ☀️

We would like to thank our beloved brothers and sisters, from near and from far, those of whom we met, those of whom attended online. We thank you by Allāh, for your support, be it financial, in word, in deed (volunteering), and for your duʿāʾ. By Allāh, after thanking Him for his mercy, the sheer privilege of being involved in disseminating daʿwah - the call to His way, we are then indebted to you all for your assistance. May Allāh reward you with the greatest of rewards and may He allow us the true success of seeing each other in the next life, the true success, the everlasting happiness, amīn.

This summer at TROID has been amazing, and it's not done. Classes continue this weekend (all days) and into the future إن شاء الله. The summer began with a road trip to Western Canada, meeting Muslims, young and, converts and elders, from every demographic, in Vancouver with the first ever event, then on to Calgary and Edmonton where we meet dozens of young Muslims at the University of Alberta, brothers and sisters seeking out the truth in far away places. As the calendar turned to July, we established the first Summer Knowledge Days zipping through a summarised explanation of Usul al-Thalāthah with many brothers and sisters coming out for a weekend of benefit, filling the masjid. We also established the first series of lessons in Oakville, Ontario. Road trips continued mid-month to Ottawa for the third consecutive year where we reconnected with Muslims from Eastern Ontario and Quebec. Truly an honour, so much benefit. The month was capped off with the largest ever gathering for the Canadian National Summer Conference with guest speakers from SP and the US. We predicted the masjid would finally overflow and rented a large gazebo to add space outside the building. More than 500 people attended from dozens of provinces and states across the US. Some parties as large as 18 people. The conference was a re-run of a theme done in 2012 bringing light to the principles of the Salafi manhaj and how to remain firm upon it and identify the straight path. It was the first time in many years that we were able to host Shaykhs, Abū Iyāḍ and Abū Khadījah, and first ever visit for Shaykh Uways al-Ṭawīl. It was a privilege and an honour to benefit from their lessons, advice and kind words. We have known them for more than 25 yrs, likewise for Shaykh Kāshiff Khān who we have been working closely with since we were teenagers. Shaykh Muḥammad Amīn visited us again and his lessons were cutting and very beneficial, الحمد لله. The major summer events were recently capped off with a road trip southwest to London, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan, with brothers coming out from Southern Ontario, across Michigan and Ohio.

We ask Allāh to accept these efforts and all those who supported it. All of these daʿwah activities were supported through the Ramaḍān fundraiser. We now turn our attention to book publications and new flier publications for distribution across Canada and to Dominica in the WI.

On a final note, let us continue to benefit from beneficial knowledge in the form of attending classes regularly, travelling to conferences, reading books, articles and listening to audios and watching videos that promote knowledge. Do not pay any mind to virtual trouble-makers who rant and rave, attacking and complaining about Salafī callers. Consume yourself with seeking knowledge, working, and taking care of your families. Leave the haters to themselves, let them live in their social media bubbles, they'll pop eventually. Focus on good. بارك الله فيك
