Egghter is not one of the most wellknown giants of the Edda. His name is just as mysterious and means something like 'edge-servant'. Egghter lives in the Ironwood, the realm that is ruled by Angrboda. To be more precise he lives in the Gallow Wood, which seems to be a part of the Ironwood. What is Egghter doing there? He is the herder of Angrboda's wolves. Cheerful he sits on a burial mound and plays his harp when the day of Ragnarok has come.

Commission Type : Music Album Cover
Name: Luces Lejanas
I was commissioned by Señor Vogel the Lead Producer and Artist of Luces Lejanes to conceive the cover of his second album.
Its base of creation is not the craft of man, but of the calloused hands of nature, the roots of the obelisk delving deep to connect to the roots of the tree of life. With it the Earth may meet the stars a bridge penetrating the veil to all the cosmic realms.
Who is Luces Lejanas?
Luces Lejanas is the reborn project originally known as Caetran by Alex Vogel
The cover art represents the connection to Earth and to the cosmos, the eternal voyage of the soul throughout eternity and the universe. Vogel is proud to announce a full length album and an EP ready to be released.

Description:I was commissioned by Señor Vogel the Lead Producer and Artist of Luces Lejanes to conceive the cover of his second album.
-He desired a cover that would realize his cosmic vision, the journey of planets contrasted with the terrestrial beauty of mountains and meadows-Towering among the stone peaks beneath the celestial forms stands a mammoth obelisk. A conduit of energy, piercing the celestial sphere! It is split not once, not twice, but thrice!
Its base of creation is not the craft of man, but of the calloused hands of nature, the roots of the obelisk delving deep to connect to the roots of the tree of life. With it the Earth may meet the stars a bridge penetrating the veil to all the cosmic realms.
-Drawing inspiration from the early 90's Metal Album Covers I employed grungy textures and rough paint strokes as an homage to this period of music history to realize Vogel's vision for Luces Lejanas- Who is Luces Lejanas?
Luces Lejanas is the reborn project originally known as Caetran by Alex Vogel
-Based in Spain-
Luces Lejanas represents a maturation, blending traditional black metal with a modern and mature approach to which he has been driven to create. With this new project he chose to focus on what is pure and essential in life drawing from his own experiences. The cover art represents the connection to Earth and to the cosmos, the eternal voyage of the soul throughout eternity and the universe. Vogel is proud to announce a full length album and an EP ready to be released.

In search for my direct ancestors I found the oldest limetree tree in the yard of their (former) farm. This tree is called "Linde van Warken". It is one of the thickest and possibly oldest lime trees in the Netherlands.
Research shows that there was already a limetree here in the 16th century. In the thirties a new root spur emerged, which has grown into a full-fledged new tree, which stands right next to the old one. The limetree is still very vital and annually bears a very dense crown of leaves. It is probably a specimen of the old 'Zwarte Linde' variety.

Typical Dutch places in Frisia. I really love the sky, the Waddensea, the old tradition of the swans on the rooftops and the small villages.
