Hunger Stones are another genius technique used in some Czech and German rivers.
These stones mark low river levels that would forecast famines.
This one, in the Elbe river, is from 1616 and says: "If you see me, cry".

Wooden shoes, pure folklore. They are still made by hand in the Netherlands.

The Betrayal

‘Tis a twist of fate
One wrought by fear
A story of deceit
The motives were clear

A rattle of chains
Within his prison
The echo of betrayal
A terrible inhibition

Aloof are the gods
For no mercy is shown
Bound by ideas
His hatred has grown

Forsaken he was
For a wolf so unruly
There is but one god
Who fulfilled his duty

An extended hand
Is a gesture of trust
Humility is the key
Diplomacy is a must

But for all things certain
The wolf did not budge
For his revenge is too great
An unassailable grudge

From within his prison
A thunderous roar
Whose seething rage
Astir the Great War.

Enjoying my favorite place by the water. The sun goes down earlier every night. I look forward to the fall that always gives me an extra magical feeling.

Before Odin showed up there were already 2 worlds: Niflheim and Muspelheim. Odin killed Ymir, the ancestor of the Thursar, and created the cosmos that we know nowadays. Including Midgard. Because of my trancejourneying i know Odin in his guise as Wodan and then he is mainly a god of death. He rules over Myrkvidr (according my Unverified Personal Gnosis), Valhalla and the Wild Hunt. Despite Odin created his own world he seeked wisdom with the Thursar. Would this be the purpose of this cosmic world? To seek for wisdom trough involution in the material world and find the way out of the cirkel of birth and death?

We love trees, they are our friends and watchers. Today I wear this self-made and designed piece as an ode to the trees. Very appropriate, because together with the local residents we saved a very thick old oak from felling.

We all have a little magic in us....

Heathens, paganists, asatrupractinioners, thursatrupracticioners and witches, many of them like to go into nature. However also in (old) towns there is much to experience. This unatrrective alley has a dark energy. Especially at the place where i took the picture. THis dark energy can even be felt in the nearby street. Dirkje and me discovered that and we have been here twice. Town or country....you can feel energy everywhere.

The Edda poetry names a lot of places other than our world Midgard. Some places are discussed in detail and about others there are only few details known. But is this information correct? After all both the Prose Edda and the Poetic Edda are composed very late in heathen/pagan history (the Poetic Edda is the oldest of the two works). Here we need to explore this ourselves by trancejourneying and by comparing our experiences. The Tribe of the Fox is doing this for years now and this resulted in a 5 part series about the heathen Underworlds.
