The Shamaness of Bad Dürrenberg
c. 6500 BCE (Mesolithic)
The Shamaness was found in 1934 in Bad Dürrenberg, Sachsen-Anhalt (DE), buried with an infant in a grave decorated with red ochre.
In the grave were numerous bones and other animal artefacts from deer, crane and turtles, as well as antlers, that would have comprised a magnificent ritual headdress. She was aged between 25 and 30 at her time of death.
The Shamaness was well nourished and held a position of power and prestige in her tribe.

Dolmen D21 is a portal grave. It is one of the five dolmens located near the town of Bronneger in the Dutch province of Drenthe.
Yesterday I was in an ancient labyrinth near a castle in the forest. I had already collected flowers to bring an offering to Freya. Arriving in the middle, this wooden stick inspired me to honor the masculine aspect with flowers from Freya's name. So, to all men and the masculine this honor. Heil Freya. 💋
And to be clear, it was me Dirkje that did do the masculine worship, not Martijn 😄😄
The seasons are changing and summer makes way for autumn. This is the season in which Vrouw Holle becomes more present. Recently Dirkje made a great video about het personal relation with this ancient deity. So now it is time to tell the fairytale of Vrouw Holle.
