From the year 1365 till now, cheese is sold on this famous cheese market in the Dutch city Alkmaar. There is a whole joyful ritual surrounding the trading of the cheeses. There are cheese carriers, cheese scales, a foreman who can be recognized by a silver shield, a cheese father with a staff with silver buttons and a few servants.
At 10.00 in the morning (usually on Fridays) the bell rings and then the inspection and weighing of the cheeses begins. In addition to the cheese girls, there are also cheese boys in traditional costume on the market.

Archanthropus Petralona

The Tribe of the Fox often talks about cyclic existence. Everything has a start and an end. In between the start and the end a whole proces is taking place. In this new video the Tribe of the Fox talks about the Wheel of Life. This is a symbolic representation of the cycle of life. You can use it to understand the cycle of life but also to learn more about the deities. Thats because every deity has a different energy and a place in the cycle of existence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRXGtRL-p84

Traditionally the first full moon following Harvest, our Hunters Moon will occur on 20th October this year.
Around this time of year, the moon rise occurs earlier than normal and often appears in vivid shades of red and orange.
Historically, the Hunters Moon would signal the end of the stretching sunsets of the equinox and encourage fathers and sons to turn from the fields to the hunt, in order to bolster their stores for the impending winter.

Correct! Nature is not a place to visit, nature is earth. You can’t say you’re going to visit the earth, that would be silly. Modern people perceive nature as some other separate place you go visit sometimes, because most of us were born, and raised inside the artificial, inorganic environment of urban cities that shield us from the natural earth as if we are not part of this planet, but aliens

The rock carving area in Näsåker, Ångermanland, is one of the largest in Northern Europe. Spread out over several islands in Nämnforsen, there are at least 2500 shapes carved into the bedrock. The most common depictions are of moose, but salmon, birds, dogs, humans, ships, sun wheels, footprints and bowl pits are also prevalent.
The motifs confirm that a hunter gatherer community once lived in the area.
On the southern shore archeologists have found traces of a village, as well as arrowheads, iron knives and other tools made from slate and quartz.
The rock carvings are dated to the younger Stone Age and older Bronze Age and the finds indicate that this location has been inhabited for a very long time; from the Stone Age until at least the late Iron Age.

Wild Edible: Hawthorn.
There is no excuse for not knowing the ubiquitous Hawthorn. It can be found in country hedgerows to urban park's and everywhere in between.
The leaves, berries and flowers are all edible. The leaves, which have a nutty flavour, and the flesh of the berries were often nibbled by rural schoolchildren on the way to school and were called "bread and cheese", it's still a lovely wayside nibble for the rambler (but don't eat the stone). The flowers can be used to make cordials, as you would with elderflowers.
Hawthorn berries are naturally high in pectin and are great for making jams, chutneys and pemican.

This time of year is about the time of shadows and borders, of honoring our ancestors. Crows and ravens are often depicted during Halloween (Celtic name is Samhain). A crow or raven has the ability to take the form of other creatures. She can move in the land of the living and in the underworld. A corvid in the form of your spirit animal helps you travel between different worlds. Wodan is also accompanied by 2 ravens, Hugin and Munin, which means "memory" and "thoughts". These mental constructs can travel to different worlds to gather information. In short, if you see a corvid in real life or during your trance journeys, you may see more of its abilities and beauty than was apparent at first sight.
