The ancestors have their place in the centre of my altar. Thanks to the ancestors you are the one you are today. Think about the good characteristics of them and live by that. Off course our day and age have different challenges than the day and age of our ancestors so we need some flexibility here but always live up to the good characteristics of your ancestors. Keep adding greatness, folksπ!

A good way to start the day is to walk or sit in nature. The trees provide shade and preserve the moist in the soil. The sound of the birds is so much nicer than human made sounds. Such a nice energyπ
What i really love about the Netherlands are the old towns with their canals and the beautiful, centuries old houses along the canals. I lived at one of those superdutch canals for 10 years. And yes, people (and cars!) fall into the canals. Sometimes they slip stepping out of their cars, other folks get into a fight and end up in the canal and i even witnessed a suicide attempt once. Peeing in a canal can also be dangerous..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrgWp9_J1UY

The Matronae are Goddesses who are our founding mothers and are usually depicted as three women. The worship of these ancient mothers goes back to the Stone Age. In our part of Europe (at the time of the Roman occupation called Lower Germania) the Matrons were worshiped by Germanic tribes, Celtic tribes and Romans. Martijn made a very nice video about these lovely goddesses. Are they also your mother goddesses? : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQJa-EGHw9c

The pagan triple goddesses Matronae
Norns, Matronae, Mothergoddesses.....these are the most ancient goddesses in paganism. From the Stone Age into the 21st century...old goddesses never die!

My cloak like feathers,
energetic, am I wind?
Soft and bright,
so delight,
power this love divine.
Primal fight,
gracefull fire!
Harm my people?
Death is yours!
Abundant lips
touch the beast,
holding the staf,
of the good men.
Solid ground,
playfull silence,
mothers child
in my nurturing arms.....

When they ask to see your gods
your book of prayers
show them lines
drawn delicately with veins
on the underside of a birdβs wing
tell them you believe
in giant oaks mottled
and stark against a winter sky
and in nights so frozen
stars crack open spilling
streams of molten ice to earth
and tell them how you drink
a holy wine of honeysuckle
on a warm spring day
and of the softness
of your mother who never taught you
death was lifeβs reward
but who believed in the earth
and the sun
and a million, million light years
of being.

If you live in a very rural area you can see reality all around you. Even if you live in a town you can see it. You can see the birds and the squirrels and the insects going about their day. You can see the trees dropping their seeds. Nothing has changed in thousands and thousands of years. It's all as it has been and was meant to be. Only we have changed. The world has not modernized, only we have. We live in a system that has become a monstrosity and has enslaved us. But it's just an illusion. We can let go and live a far more natural life. There was a time where we were already doing it. It's all open ended and up to us. We're living in an illusion. Remember that.
Jenever is a traditional alcoholic drink in the Netherlands and Flanders. This drink comes in different types and qualities ranging from fairly neutral to almost whisky-like. Jenever is based on grain, malt and barley flavoured with the juniperberrie and lots of herbs This is part of my heritage, because many of my ancestors, including my father, grandfather and greatgrandfather, worked in the jeneverindustry or in related industries. So 'Proost' (=cheers), folksπ!
The Green Man is anchored deep in the European mind. Depictions of the Green Man go back almost 2000 years. What is very interesting is that the Green Man is also connected with the Goddess of the Northsea, Nehalennia. I included a photo of Him on a Nehalennia altar. Recently i visited a former fishermanstown and also there i seen buildings decorated with Green Men depictions. Again this connection with the Northsea and the Green Manπ€.... Seems like i need to do some shamanic journeying and contemplatingπ. (The pictures are from the website of Abe de Verteller https://www.abedeverteller.nl/de-groene-man/ )
Yesterday the Tribe of the Fox posted a post about the Green Man. This is an ancient symbol that is connected with natural growth. And speaking about growth.......our number of subscribers is around 400 nowπππ»! The Tribe of the Fox wants to thank all of you for subscribing and sharing. Thanks folksπ!
The new video of the Hilltop Homestead is called 'A positive message'. However there is not just one positive message in this video but actually a lot of positive, and wise, messagesπ. And that is what heathenism and paganism needs. There will always be problems in life and hard work and a good attitude can conquer the problems. So check out the Hilltop Homestead and help their channels grow, folksππ». https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpf1jj8cJWw
This video about the origins of the Berserker warriors is very interesting. The video is made by Dan Davis, an author writing novels about the Bronze Age. The Tribe of the Fox already made a video about Odin's elite warriors and their role in society. Dan Davis his video about the origins of these warriors also gives a lot of good information and is a joy to listen to. Funny enough he mentioned the Batavian Rebellion, a topic also already covered by the Tribe of the Fox. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEXXA0naXkk&list=WL&index=1

The First Berserkers: The Koryos | Bronze Age Warfare
The berserker Viking warrior is famous but the tradition can be traced back to the early Bronze Age warband called the koryos.

The Tribe of the Fox made a fieldtrip to some ancient wells. We visted the 'Adelbertusput' (Well of Adelbert) and the 'Runxput'. Watersprings are gateways to the Underworld and therefore to our ancestors and fertillity. Springs play a major part in Northwest-Eurpoean spirituality. The wells are christianized for over a 1000 years now.... but folks, just do some shamanic journeying at these wells and you shall see these wells are still pagan as pagan can beππ§π»ββοΈπ! You can even discover that these wells each have their own 'personality' and have ancient spiritbeings living there. The springs even react to the way you do your journeying and let you know if they agree. We had a great heathen day at the wells of our ancestorsβ€οΈ.
