👋🏻 Hey, it's Austin. Today I'm going to tell you how I stopped losing money on random trades and learned to trade consciously.

I used to think that the more time I spent on the charts, the more money I would make. I opened the terminal on the subway, checked quotes at lunch and placed trades even at night.

It seemed that if I distracted myself for a minute — I would miss the “very” opportunity

But the result was the opposite: at first I made a lot of stupid trades out of boredom. I liked the feeling of being constantly in the market, watching the price movement. Naturally, it took a huge amount of time every day.


I had to reconsider my approach. I think if you want to make it your additional or even main income, you need to take it seriously, allocate daily time and gradually understand everything.

🔀 What I changed:

- Allocated 2 hours a day just for trading⏳ (10:00-11:00 and 18:00-19:00). No social media, calls or side hustles. Full focus and having a detailed plan for the upcoming trading session.

As a result, the statistics of my account has changed significantly: if 2 months ago I made an average of 50-10 trades per day, now I can make only about 20 trades per day spending 2 times less time.


I stopped getting distracted and because of the clear change of focus, my brain started to see more and more favorable trading situations.

This change is the very first thing everyone needs to start with. Once you develop a certain pattern in your trading we can already focus much easier even where the situation does not allow it. This can be called experience.

🙄 It is silly to try to trade while you are walking and choosing something on the shelves of the store. Imagine, I thought I could make good financial decisions in such an environment. Maybe not everyone does, but everyone has something that causes you to get distracted anyway.
