🗿 How I lost my entire balance in 2 hours / Part1

After getting acquainted with Binary Options, I quickly learned the basics such as trending, horizontal levels, candlestick analysis, etc. For the first couple of months I set myself a goal to make +3-4% to my deposit every day and everything went pretty well.

Within a month my balance became almost 3 times bigger and believe it or not, I didn't have a single losing day. Every evening I sat down to trade and my approach was as accurate as possible, so I managed to earn every day without any risks.

😔 Looking back, I realize that if I could make 200% profit in a month, I should have fixed at least my deposit. But no. Each profitable day accelerated my greed more and more. I was not enough.



At some point I learned about a mathematical system of overlapping minus trades ➖ the Martingale strategy. At first I liked it very much, as increasing the amount of the deal after a minus bet gave a good profit in case of a plus.

I built my system so that I had 3 attempts to cover my initial minus, that is, I had 4 steps, each of which increased the amount of the deal in 2 times.

In case all four steps did not go in, I lost about 25% of my total balance. I was ready for such a risk.

Looking back though, I realize that I just didn't believe that I could drain 4 trades in a row 🤔. Up to a certain point it was like that, until at a certain point I actually had 4 trades go in. I was not ready to accept the loss and opened the fifth trade on emotions.

Of course, the fifth trade, which was already 25% of my capital, was also unprofitable. I had already violated my plan and in my mind I had a choice: to accept the mistake or to put in one last time whatever was left on the balance.

At that moment emotions took over and I bet everything without even thinking what I would do in case of another failure. It is not difficult to guess that the last deal was opened on emotions without much thought, which led to another minus. At that moment my balance was $0.00 😭

Not only was all the profit I had made during a month of hard work gone, but also my initial deposit ❌

I was so shocked that for the first few hours I wasn't even really upset, because I couldn't believe that there was no money on my balance. That day before I went to bed, I realized what I had done and that my entire balance was drained, simply because I could not cope with my emotions.


I was angry at myself for a long time and analyzed every failed trade, but it didn't help 😒 — It was convenient for me to take the victim's position and blame Binary Options for everything, so that I could absolve myself of responsibility for that failure.

For a long time, I didn't trade. At that time I was devastated and just didn't know what to do, because after a month of successful trading I was already dreaming of new money, making plans for the future and just wasn't ready to go back to square one 0️⃣

I knew something: life doesn't end with one failure. I just had to give myself time to rest. Sometimes I thought about forgetting about the damn trading and going back to work. My pride did not allow me to accept “defeat”, so I started looking for new money to start trading again.

When I came back, I was scared to trade again, so for the first 2 weeks the amount of my trades was only 2-3$. I realized that I had to change everything: I needed to analyze all my mistakes, change my strategy and immerse myself in psychology.

My biggest takeaway: controlling your emotions gives you far more than strategy

Everyone can find themselves in a similar situation - when everything is going great and then suddenly collapses because of a mistake. But that's no reason to give up. I came back, adapted despite the fear and frustration. You, too, can get through any challenge if you learn from your mistakes and don't stop.


Every new step forward is an opportunity to get everything back and more. Don't be afraid of failures, but use them as lessons on the way to your goals.
