Damn, i hope noone googles the abuses of the Chileans or Argentinians toward the native populations, or the massive esterilization campaign of natives made by Peru, or the fact that Iran is a local imperialist power...

This type of narratives are really liberal for many reason, i will point several:

1- Treating the civil society and the political society (the state) as one. They arent, and nations arent unified. Within every nation there is class divisions. Its a narrative contrary to internarionalism. Sometimes it gets to ridiculous points such as argentinians descendents of colonists calling spanish people whose antecesors never left Spain, colonizer (although that is a problem of american cultural imperialism more than anything).

2. By showing oppresor states, and oppresed states, it leads to white washing the bourgeoise state, even when they are responsible for genocides and ethnic cleansing (Argentina or Peru) or when they are local imperialist powers (Iran)
