this is really cool, let me explain why:
At beat 1 the E♭ - A♭ - E♭ sets you up for D - G - D, a classic instance of sequence. However, there is another G, which, since it is repeating a note you just heard, your brain will automatically group it in with the notes before it, making a group of 4 instead of 3, which blurs the line between beats and makes the measures feel very out of meter from the rest of the song even though they're still in 4/4.

additionally, the F to C is a fifth, the same interval as A♭ - E♭ and G - D, so you're set up for another repetition of the triplet theme but it never comes
