Essay on Covid-19 or Corona
๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘๐Ÿ”‘
The name, Covid-19 is made up of three different words. 'Co" stands for Corona; 'Vi' for virus, 'D' for disease and '19' for 2019.
It was first identified in Wuhan, China in November 2019 and then it spread all over the world.

Symptoms:
One of the common symptoms of this disease is common cold. It spreads with the droplets of an infected person through coughing or sneezing and through touching surfaces with the infected hands. The Covid-19 virus may survive on some surfaces for several hours. The person may suffer from high fever, cough, and breathing problems. These are some common symptoms.

Precautions:
Some precautions should be taken to avoid infections.
* We should wash hands frequently using soap and water.
* We should cover our mouth and nose with masks or other clothes.
* We should keep social distance from other people.
* We should get ourselves tested for Corona in the hospital.

Vaccine:
The COVID vaccine was launched in India on 16th January, 2021. The first group includes healthcare and front-line workers. The second group to receive COVID 19 vaccine will be persons over 60 years of age. In the third stage, all the persons above 45 years can now take the benefit of free vaccination without any medical certificate.
This is the biggest pandemic of the century. It affected more than 50% population of the world. This virus spread in more than 180 countries of the world. Most of the countries applied 100 days Lockdown ever done in history.
As on 24th March 2021, America has 30 millions cases and 543000 deaths due to Corona. Brazil has 12 millions cases and 299000 deaths; while India has 11 millions cases and 160000 deaths. In India more than 95% patients have recovered from this deadly disease.

Impact:
The world economy has crashed and suffered a heavy loss of business. Millions of people have lost their jobs or business. The world is still recovering from the loss of economy. Due to Corona, education, flights, sports events, festivals, social occasions, tourism etc. were affected. Restaurants, theatres, malls were closed.
Daily wagers had to suffer an unimaginable poverty. Many students had to study online. Many steps were taken by government to support people.

Steps:
Government has released more than 20,000 crore funds for Corona affected people. This is the largest amount ever granted in the history of Indian economy. Special Covid-19 hospitals and wards were set up immediately.

Positivity:
We also saw some positive effects of Lockdown like cleaner sky, decrease in air and noise pollution.Crime rates and accident rates also decreased during Lockdown. Finally we hope Covid-19 will disappear completely from the world.
