Central idea ---
This poem is a Lament of P. B. Shelley. In this poem the poet is very sad because he is very weak and about to die. He feels that he is standing at the last step of his life. He looks his past Life which was full of joy. The poet fought the troubles and difficulties very bravely in the past. But now he is trembling. His nights and days are dull and joyless. He doesn't feel happy in any weather. He is unable to enjoy the beauty of nature. So he mourns that the joy of his life will never return.
