Prices at the pump in the US hit an eight-month high this week — boosted by the increased cost of crude oil as producers slash output.
According to roadside assistance company AAA, as of Friday, the average national gas price is $3.73 per gallon for regular gas — up 20 cents from last month’s average.
The more fuel-efficient premium gas, meanwhile, has surged to nearly $4.50 — also a 20-cent increase from June.
Another great example of Bidenomics, I suppose.

Most recipients suffer pain and discomfort afterward, according to a recent study from the University of Florida.

Americans have become less likely to express "a great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in the U.S. military, with a noticeable decline that has persisted for the past five years.
▪️At 60%, confidence in the military was last this low in 1997, and it hasn’t been lower since 1988, when 58% were confident.
Confidence held above 70% for two decades after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, until dipping to 69% in 2021 and declining further since then, following the poorly executed exit from Afghanistan.
▪️Republicans are the most likely to express confidence in the military, but the rate has fallen more than 20 points in three years, from 91% to 68%.
Independents’ confidence has declined from 68% to 55%, and now independents have less confidence than Democrats do.
Interesting trend. Certainly, the woke agenda has played its part in the decline of the army's prestige.

A Quebec trucking company has been ordered to reinstate a driver who was fired after she drank at least nine beers before she lost control of her truck on a Pennsylvania highway.
The driver’s actions amounted to serious misconduct, but her drinking was the result of a disability — alcoholism — and trucking company Groupe Robert should have made a 'reasonable accommodation for her,' labour arbitrator said in her written July 18 decision.
“The night of the accident, she needed to drink,” labour arbitrator said. “She admitted that even though she knew she shouldn’t, the need was stronger, like something that she couldn’t control.”
The driver told the arbitrator the company could have installed an alcohol testing device in her truck after the crash, or found other work for her.
The audacity!

Three of Lizzo's former dancers have accused the singer of sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment in a lawsuit filed Tuesday. They also allege that she pressured one of them to touch a nude performer at an Amsterdam club and subjected the group to an "excruciating" audition.
According to the lawsuit, Lizzo encouraged her employees to catch sex toys ejected from the performers’ vaginas and bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas.
