High school football coach fired for praying on field after games awarded $2M settlement, gets his job back

The Bremerton School Board accepted a $1.75 million settlement with Joe Kennedy, a high school football coach that was fired for praying on the field. Kennedy will also be reinstated as a coach for the upcoming season.

The school board voted unanimously in favor of the settlement on Thursday.

Kennedy started coaching at the school in 2008. He began to regularly pray at the 50-yard line of the football field after games. Some students began to join him over time. The school district later found out and asked Kennedy to stop in 2015. Kennedy continued praying at midfield with anyone that chose to join him, to which the school district responded by placing him on paid leave, and eventually fired him.

โš–๏ธ The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of Kennedy in June, citing Kennedy's right to pray as protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

White House on Nord Stream pipeline explosions: "We still do believe it was an act of sabotage. The United States was not involved in any way."

Seymour Hersh already gave us a full investigation on who blew up Nord Stream.

But the White House would rather blame everything on "pro-Ukranian groups" (how convenient) than admit they're the ones behind it.

Trump๐Ÿ’ฐhush-money๐Ÿ’ฐgrand jury proceedings postponed. Or cancelled altogether?

The hype over Trump's possible arrest persists.

โ–ช๏ธNot long ago, on Saturday, Donald Trump blew up the internet with the intel about his possible arrest on Tuesday and called for protests.

The possible charges stem from the $130,000 hush-money payment that then-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016 in exchange for her silence about an alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006. Trump was accused of using campaign money for these purposes.

๐ŸชงThe protests and pickets that followed, to be honest, looked rather suspicious and inauthentic. Take, for instance, a very small pro-Trump picket in front of the Trump Tower. One of the protesters wears a mask, which, in 2023, is a definite way to spot a liberal in a crowd. The left on Twitter were quick to use this protest in their "nobody cares for Trump anymore" argument.

๐ŸชงThe anti-Trump protests looked no better. Two protesters in New York were filmed by what seems to be like 20 reporters.

โ–ช๏ธBut Tuesday came and nothing happened. The grand jury was canceled amid "major dissension" within the district attorney's office.

Fox News sources claim the district attorney is having trouble convincing the grand jury on potential charges due to the "weakness" of the case.

๐Ÿ“„Now a 2018 letter has resurfaced, which confirms that Michael Cohen used his own personal funds to pay the 'hush-money,' was not reimbursed, and that the payment was not a campaign contribution. Does this mean the charges will be dropped? It seems so.

โ–ช๏ธAnyway, Trump used the situation to draw attention to his 2024 presidential campaign. Elon Musk gets the point, tweeting that if indicted, "Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory."

๐Ÿ‘ด๐Ÿป Biden approval dips near lowest point

The president notched an approval rating of 38% in the new poll, after 45% said they approved in February and 41% in January.

His ratings hit their lowest point of his presidency last July, at 36%, as the full weight of rising gasoline, food and other costs began to hit U.S. households.

Would you dare to run for president again if you knew that even those who voted for you have become disappointed with you?

๐Ÿ†World Athletics bans transgender athletes from competing in female World Ranking events

The World Athletics Council announced it will not allow transgender athletes to compete against women in female World Rankings competitions.

The move, which goes into effect next week, will ban male-to-female transgender athletes who have been through male puberty.

The organization decided there that the first option, which required transgender athletes to maintain their testosterone levels below 2.5nmol/L for 24 months to be eligible to compete internationally in the female category, was insufficient.

World Athletics concluded that the Council decided to prioritize fairness and the integrity of the female competition before inclusion.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ทFrance bans TikTok, other โ€˜recreationalโ€™ apps on work phones of public servants

Following the U.S. and Canada, France has also decided to ban the use of TikTok on work devices. The French government has decided to ban the installation and use of "recreational" applications on the work phones of its 2.5 million public sector employees, the Public Service Ministry announced.

This decision concerns in particular TikTok, Twitter and Instagram.

According to the ministry, the applications affected by the ban "do not have sufficient levels of cybersecurity and data protection and may pose a risk to the privacy of these administrations and their public employees."

Let's hope they don't ban Telegram ๐Ÿ˜…
