Almost 40 percent of students identify as LGBTQ at liberal arts colleges

"Liberal arts colleges are the least politically diverse. Many have almost no conservatives, and thus very low viewpoint diversity. But they have high sexual diversity, at nearly 40 percent LGBT," states the report by the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology.

The analyzed data also reveals that overall 23 percent of U.S. college students identify as LGBTQ—a number similar to a Gallup poll which found 20.8 percent of Generation Z identified as LGBT in February 2022.

🇬🇧Men's prison in the UK is slammed by inspectors for not providing make-up and women's clothing to its transgender inmates

HM Inspectorate for Prisons found the jail was lagging behind with 'inadequate support to minority groups'.

The inspection report noted: "Prisoners identifying as non-binary, gender fluid or transgender were consulted, but not regularly. Prisoners told us they had yet to see any changes as a result of consultation."

The inspection also found LGBTQ+ inmates wanted greater opportunities to meet inside the prison, which houses 1,348 people.

New study finds global discrimination against the unvaccinated

The study by Aarhus University in Denmark, covering 21 countries, finds that this behavior is mainly caused by the perception of the unvaccinated as being “free-riders,” which has led to even the emergence of “support for the removal of fundamental rights” of the unvaccinated.

In many cases, vaccinated people did not want close relatives to marry an unvaccinated person, and considered the unvaccinated to be incompetent and untrustworthy.

In the United States, vaccinated people even pleaded for the denial of fundamental rights of unvaccinated people, going as far as demanding segregation by keeping unvaccinated people from moving into their neighborhood or keeping them from expressing their political views on social media without censorship.

South Carolina defines ‘gender’ as ‘biological sex’ in new bill

A new South Carolina bill introduced December 7 has asserted the biological reality of sex.

A proposed bill would leave the decision up to the people of South Carolina in the next election. The amendment, if passed, would narrow the definition of gender to the “biological indication of male or female in the context of reproductive potential or capacity.”

The constitutional amendment, if passed, would add the following text:

"The biological indication of male or female in the context of reproductive potential or capacity, such as sex chromosomes, naturally occurring sex hormones, gonads, and nonambiguous internal and external genitalia present at birth, without regard to an individual’s psychological, chosen, or subjective experience of gender shall constitute a person’s gender for the purposes of this constitution and the laws of this State."

🇬🇧Church of England's first openly non-binary priest

The Church of England's 'first' non-binary vicar said it was 'difficult' when they came out to their wife and three children after having a 'moment of revelation' while reading the story of Adam and Eve.

Bingo Allison, 36, who defines as gender-queer and uses the pronouns 'they/them', experienced an epiphany seven years ago while reading Genesis 1-3 in the Old Testament.

The vicar, who works in Liverpool, said they came to terms with their gender identity while reading the story and realised: "There's space in God's creation for change and transformation, just because you're created one way doesn't mean that you can't live another".

Bingo also said their wife found things 'difficult' when they first came out because "obviously you marry what you think it a straight guy and obviously things are more complicated than that".

Obviously?

The number of children who have accidentally eaten cannabis-infused edibles has spiked over the past five years as marijuana became legal in more 🇺🇸states

The significant increase was based on more than 7,000 pediatric cases filed with the National Poison Data System, which tracks reports of poisonings across the nation.

The numbers revealed a change from about 200 cases per year in 2017 to more than 3,000 in 2021. About 8% of the cases resulted in children being admitted to critical care units typically due to problems with breathing or coma.

The Pediatrics-published research noted that more than 97% of the exposures occurred in a home setting. The researchers concluded, "It is important for providers to be aware of this in their practice and it presents an important opportunity for education and prevention."

More than half of the reports involved 2 and 3-year-old children.

❗️TWITTER FILES: PART 11❗️

The new Twitter files show how the fear surrounding Russian propaganda let the intelligence community in Twitter internal affairs.

▪️'PR crisis' following 2016 election allowed intelligence to delve into Twitter's internal affairs.

▪️Twitter formed a ‘Russia Task Force’ to proactively self-investigate

▪️Twitter routinely received reports with lists of accounts to suspend from the state, media and politicians.

▪️The accounts were accused mostly of 'Russian' and sometimes 'Latin propaganda'.

▪️At first Twitter was very reluctant to cooperate, but after scare headlines pushed by congressional/intel sources Twitter gradually caved to moderation asks, which lead to partnerships with federal law enforcement.

▪️Before the 2020 election Twitter staff were overwhelmed with the amount of accounts to check and suspend.

▪️Previous Twitter files show that Twitter was paid $3,415,323 by the state, essentially for being an overwhelmed subcontractor.

New York became the sixth state to legalize the practice of composting human remains

Governor Kathy Hochul signed the legislation over the weekend. It would add "natural organic reduction" alongside cremation and entombment as an acceptable burial method. The new law defines the practice as the "contained, accelerated conversion of human remains to soil" in a "structure, room, or other space" in which decomposition can occur.

"With climate change and sea-level rise as very real threats to our environment, this is an alternative method of final disposition that won’t contribute emissions into our atmosphere."

The states that have already legalized human composting are Washington, Colorado, California, Oregon, and Vermont.

Imagine being scared to death of climate change 😬

FDA has announced that retail pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens can now provide abortion pills

The abortion drug Mifepristone was previously only available through doctors, clinics, or some mail-order pharmacies. The new rule change from the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) will allow any pharmacy abiding by its guidelines to fill prescription orders in stores and by mail.

According to the Guttmacher Institute, medication abortion accounted for 54% of U.S. abortions in 2020. That percentage is likely to increase as retail pharmacies provide abortion pills.
