💵Gasless transactions from MyTonWallet and Tonkeeper

TON ecosystem continues to delight users with innovations. Recently, MyTonWallet and Tonkeeper introduced features that allow transactions to be made even with zero TON balance, as well as gasless transfers for USDT and NOT (Notcoin). We recently discussed this in our post about USDT on TON.

MyTonWallet and Tonkeeper users can now send and exchange USDT, even if they have a zero TON balance. With the new wallet W5, users no longer need TON to pay the network fee for USDT transfers. The fee is deducted automatically from the USDT balance.

MyTonWallet also supports NOT exchange similar to USDT. However, TON balance is still required for operations with other tokens and NFTs.

These breakthroughs open up significant possibilities for TON, as they simplify sending and exchanging tokens through wallets. This is particularly important for users who may not always want to hold TON on their balance.

Gasless transactions are also faster and cheaper than in other wallets, making TON ecosystem even more attractive to users and developers.

Some blockchains already have gasless transactions, but their implementation and availability vary. For example, Ethereum blockchain supports technologies for paying fees with tokens through special contracts, but they are not as widely accessible and require additional configuration.

💎Bybit executives resign after the Notcoin incident

Following the incident involving Notcoin deposit delay, several key figures from Bybit, the third-largest offshore exchange, "voluntarily resigned." According to an internal memo addressed to all employees, Bybit is now seeking new technical specialists and spot trading managers.

The Notcoin incident affected 320,000 users, and Bybit had to compensate $23 million. Due to technical and communication issues, Bybit users received their Notcoin tokens late, could not sell them right away, causing significant inconvenience and financial losses.

The Bybit team worked tirelessly to resolve the balance display issue after the Notcoin airdrop to Bybit, which has caused delays. While Bybit's wallet struggled to process around 370,000 Notcoin transactions, it delayed updating user balances. So the balances had to be manually credited to provide access to Notcoin before the market opened.

Bybit created a compensation plan and credited all 320,000 affected users, expressing deep regret for the issues encountered and assuring that a thorough internal investigation is being conducted to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Notcoin has stirred quite a few CEXs, apps, and even Telegram chatrooms, both inside and outside its ecosystem. And to think that this is just one such project in the TON ecosystem, imagine what will happen next! 😨

Robinhood Crypto announced on Twitter that TON will be available for trading for its clients in some European jurisdictions.

The company Robinhood, founded in 2013 by Stanford University graduates Vladimir Tenev (native of Bulgaria) and Baiju Bhatt, offers a commission-free trading service for stocks and cryptocurrencies.
