Due to some prior tensions between the SEC and Telegram, access to Fragment from the USA has been restricted for obvious reasons.

Today, however, American users have discovered that Telegram Premium subscriptions, username marketplace, and anonymous numbers are now available in their country.

Does this mean a liquidity injection and price pumping of anonymous numbers? We shall see, but this may be too early at this stage.

At the time of writing, the sales volume of Telegram usernames is 63.6 million TON, anonymous numbers at 16.1 million TON, with the lowest going price for an anonymous number going for 185 TON.

💸Monetization for owners of Telegram channels

Pavel Durov announced that starting next month, Telegram channel owners will start receiving financial compensation for their work.

Telegram channels rack up over 1 trillion views every month. Currently, only 10% of these views are monetized through Telegram Ads - a promotional tool that respects people's privacy.

In March, the Telegram Ads Platform will be officially open to advertisers in nearly a hundred new countries. Channel owners in these countries will start receiving 50% of the revenue Telegram earns from displaying ads on their channels.

To ensure fast and secure payments and withdrawals

Similar to Telegram logins on Fragment, we will sell advertising and share revenues with channel owners with Toncoins.

💬Feedback from Pavel Durov

Following yesterday's post, some people were concerned that if Telegram sells advertisements exclusively through TON, it may end up owning an unreasonable share of Toncoin, compromising the decentralization of the ecosystem. Pavel acknowledged these concerns and proposed a logical solution.

To limit Telegram's share to ≈10% of TON supply, Telegram will sell excess ownership to long-term investors. They will get it with a lock-up and vesting plan of 1-4 years, but at a discount to market price. This will limit the amount of Toncoins in circulation, stabilizing the ecosystem and reducing volatility.

Potential investors are already actively trying to reach us about this subject. To make the process of acquiring TON from Telegram fair and orderly, we have created an email address investors@telegram.org for large investors ($1M+).

The greater the number of long-term TON holders, the more stable and decentralized our ecosystem will become.

The Crypto Of The Year Award is granted by CoinMarketCap to the most influential cryptocurrencies of the past year, regardless of market capitalization, and TON's victory proves our point once again.

For this prize, The Open Network was competing with nominees such as: Solana, Ethereum, Ripple, and Chainlink. TON got 30,258 votes, surpassing Solana (17,378) and Ethereum (8,451).

Over the past year, TON has brought more users into the Web3 world than any other blockchain, all thanks to its integration into the Telegram messenger.

On September 13th, during the TOKEN2049 conference, TON Foundation announced its official partnership with Telegram, marked by the integration of @wallet into the messenger's main menu.

On April 13th and 14th, the Web3/AI Summit will take place in Hong Kong, focused on cutting-edge technologies such as Web3 and artificial intelligence. 🏆Results of the CoinMarketCap Awards 2024

Even though we won the vote for cryptocurrency of the year according to CMC, live on YouTube, the victory was awarded to the Solana blockchain. Is this because Binance somewhat dislikes TON?

We all remember Solana's network failures, its attempts to attract 50 thousand active users using Solana phones, and its price action last year. Though TON also faced some challenges following the release of inscriptions, now 800 million users can access crypto and DApps straight through their messenger app on any device. We must recognize Solana's importance as well as its contribution to the growth of the crypto community, albeit incomparable with the TON shard technology.

In order to stay relevant, these kinds of award events need to increase transparency, as well as:
- Clearly state all mechanisms, conditions, and evaluation criteria for all cryptocurrencies
- Demonstrate their results before the final decision is made and announced, in order for users to see the impact of their contribution
- Report on the composition of the jury in charge of evaluating any particular award aspect

Speaking of Binance, former CEO Changpeng Zhao tried to keep up with the times, looking up to Pavel Valeryevich and announced the launch of the Binance messenger. With Zhao's departure, this idea may fade out, but TON and Telegram's popularity and potential growth are unlikely to fade.

Today, the international business newspaper Financial Times published an article on Pavel Durov's vision for Telegram.

Here are the main takeaways:
- The developers team is made of only 50 people. Each Telegram user costs the messenger $0.7 per year
- Operating expenses are about €630 million or nearly 62.3 billion rubles per year
- Telegram has reached 900 million active users, becoming one of the most popular social media applications
- The messenger generates hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue and will become profitable by 2024-2025, according to its founder
- Potential investors value it at $30+ billion
- Durov will not sell the company but considers IPO, his team may sell a portion of shares to the users
- Monetization is crucial to remain independent
- The IPO could take place by March 2026

Telegram aims for a listing in the USA as soon as the company becomes profitable and market conditions improve.

Pavel Durov stated that an IPO would provide additional investments required for working on AI features.
In particular, Telegram is exploring the possibility of an AI-based chatbot. Already this March, an update will allow for creating chatbots with integrated AI.

From April 6th to 9th, the Web3/AI Summit, dedicated to the most advanced technologies in the field of Web3 and artificial intelligence will be held in Tokyo.

During this crazy week, TON reached a price peak of $4.40, for the first time in two years, driving up the value of its tokens and other blockchain metrics.

Token Terminal announced on Twitter that they listed The Open Network on their platform, which helps users track important metrics.

Token Terminal is an on-chain, full-stack data platform that aggregates financial and alternative data for common blockchains and decentralized applications.

This new integration conveniently tracks the price, market capitalization, trading volume, fees, costs, and other on-chain data of the TON blockchain in a simple infographic format.

All attention has recently been focused on Pavel Durov's recent announcement, fuelling the many rumors and theories around the Fragment marketplace.

Pavel mentioned in a post that the upcoming update will bring 50% of ad revenues to Telegram content creators (excluding Russia). Since Telegram will be selling ads exclusively using TON, it may end up owning an unhealthy share of Toncoin, which would be too concentrated for a decentralized ecosystem.

To limit Telegram's share in TON to around ≈10% of the supply, the Telegram team will sell its surplus to long-term investors.

A few days later, the post was edited, and the contact email for investors was removed. However, purchase possibilities by freezing, vesting, and staking options had been available a month earlier:
