All these tasks come from TOP, which can also include other projects on a commercial basis.

A long time ago, at the inception of Gram, whenever Pavel Durov was mentioned in a post such as "A new cryptocurrency from Pavel Durov," etc., it was instantly flagged as "scam" on the channel that published a post with such content. Telegram had automatic triggers for such publications, which were sent for review, then most probably deleted.

Now, whenever influencers use such aggressive tactics with similar phrases, they typically don't get flagged, which points towards double standards.

Let's address any potential false arguments right away:

During last year's Gateway conference in Dubai, TON Browser was announced, featuring support for TON Sites.

A small video preview has recently emerged in Telegram Mini Apps showcasing the TON Browser concept.
The concept shows the ability to search for TON sites, create your own page, as well as a catalog of ready-made TON sites.

We thank the honorable Mr. Al Robin for sharing with us this discovery.

The app also has a community on Open Sites, though the web app itself is currently not working.

The price of TON DNS domains will definitely react to the release of this feature, the number of sites (which already exist) will increase, and Telegram will get additional traffic from the usage of and interaction with Web3 sites.

💰An attempt to launder $2 million over the TON network

Europol successfully caught the hacker who used a cryptojacking scheme to exploit other people's virtual assets.

Cryptojacking is a type of cybercrime involving the unauthorized use of devices by malicious actors to mine cryptocurrency.

A young guy managed to set up a million virtual servers for mining crypto without spending a cent.

They got on his case at the beginning of last year, when one of the national internet providers reported a massive breach in its cloud storage accounts. Through joint efforts of the internet provider, the local police and Europol, they managed to identify the attacker and get a hold of him.

On January 16th, it was reported that the case was in the bag: the villain was caught and interrogated. His first successful heist was hacking the servers of an e-commerce platform stealing 1,500 accounts in one click.

The attacker found innovative ways to transfer money, including through TON crypto wallets, so skillfully that he was able to evade justice for two whole years. But eventually, law enforcement got the upper hand.

Now this poor fellow is waiting for his trial. If you are hoping for your cryptocurrency investment to be fruitful, be sure to keep your guard up.

This story is a sobering reminder. In the virtual world, security is of the utmost importance. It's time to learn, strengthen your defenses, and stay connected.

The Open League is a community-led initiative to attract five million users to TON projects over the next twelve months by distributing various rewards. Watch their promo video from Gateway here.

The community voted 99.5% in favor of the proposal. It aims to grow the TON ecosystem through innovative methods and rewarding experiences.

Starting today, each user can complete tasks as part of The Open League, at the end of which they will receive an exclusive "Junior Pilot" collectible, which will mark the beginning of a new year full of collectible achievements and awards.

The Pilot season will feature projects with more than 26 million active users: Wallet, Fanton, tApps Center, Notcoin and Getgems.

🖥DDoS attack or weak infrastructure?

At the moment, a number of services, such as explorers and Tonkeeper, may experience unstable operation due to excessive traffic on liteservers.

Yesterday, the TON Console channel reported a short-term maintenance interruption due to technical issues with the TON API.

This was caused by a DDoS attack from 3400 IP addresses from multiple data centers.

Last evening, the Tonkeeper news channel also reported attacks on liteservers, TON Center, GetBlock and Tonhub.

A flood-attack is a low-level attempt to clog bandwidth and drain the resources of indexing services (TON API) through fictitious requests.

This started to happen over the hype around GRAM mining, as can be seen from the following trends in transaction growth:

🗺Telegram Mini Apps and TON in Asia

Last November, the TON Foundation joined forces with Future3 Campus, Hashkey Capital, and Wanxiang Blockchain Labs to launch TON Bootcamp in Asia. It is an acceleration program designed to stimulate the development of mini-applications in the Web3 ecosystem.

This fundamental accelerator will put together old-timers with new developers to build Telegram: the largest super-application combining Web2 and Web3. Old-timers are those who have extensive experience developing Web Apps for WeChat and others.

The reasoning behind the Telegram SuperApp is obvious: to create an integrated ecosystem of mini-apps built upon Telegram messenger and @wallet cryptopayments. The focus is on Asia because its population is familiar with the concept of SuperApps such as Weibo and WeChat.

The TON Foundation selected projects from almost 200 applications and, after careful consideration, admitted 12 into the program. Their teams will undergo a 10-week training program on product development, operations, marketing, and compliance.

- TonStash: a microinvestment project that makes it easy for users to participate in decentralized financing (DeFi)

Due to some prior tensions between the SEC and Telegram, access to Fragment from the USA has been restricted for obvious reasons.

Today, however, American users have discovered that Telegram Premium subscriptions, username marketplace, and anonymous numbers are now available in their country.

Does this mean a liquidity injection and price pumping of anonymous numbers? We shall see, but this may be too early at this stage.

At the time of writing, the sales volume of Telegram usernames is 63.6 million TON, anonymous numbers at 16.1 million TON, with the lowest going price for an anonymous number going for 185 TON.

Pavel Durov announced that starting next month, Telegram channel owners will start receiving financial compensation for their work.

Telegram channels rack up over 1 trillion views every month. Currently, only 10% of these views are monetized through Telegram Ads - a promotional tool that respects people's privacy.

In March, the Telegram Ads Platform will be officially open to advertisers in nearly a hundred new countries. Channel owners in these countries will start receiving 50% of the revenue Telegram earns from displaying ads on their channels.
