🏆Details on the Public Test

Today the TON Foundation announced its initiative to be officially accredited in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest blockchain in the world.

The upcoming public test of its network performance will demonstrate the reliability, scalability, and speed of the TON blockchain.

TON Foundation, in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, will create 256 servers as validator nodes and launch a separate TON blockchain network to conduct performance tests.

Since 2022, the TON blockchain has been growing exponentially. The number of network addresses has increased 20 times: from 170 thousand to 3.5 million. Its user base has grown along with the number of TON validator nodes. The decentralized network now boasts 350 nodes spanning over 25 countries.

The upcoming performance test is a crucial step in demonstrating the unique capabilities of the TON blockchain, which is now an official infrastructure layer for the Web3 ecosystem in Telegram.

Coinone, the first South Korean centralized exchange, founded in 2016, has listed TON on its exchange.

Starting on October 12, TON will be available in the TON/KRW (Korean won) trading pair, namely:

TON Believers Fund has gathered over 1,000,000,000 TON (~$1,928,074,539), and there are only 10 days left before the funds are frozen!

Earlier this year, on February 21, validators voted in favor of temporarily restricting the activation of early miners' dormant wallets. They amount to a total balance of 1,081,389,417 TON and will be on hold until February 21, 2027.

As a result, more than 2 billion TON (40% of the total supply) will stay frozen until 2027-28.

💵Sam Bankman-Fried (from FTX) wanted $100 million worth of TON

Nishad Singh, the former lead engineer of the defunct FTX exchange, testified on October 16 that Sam Bankman-Fried was planning a potential deal with Telegram for TON tokens.

Singh admitted this during the trial of the former CEO of FTX on charges of financial abuse and fraud.

Singh admitted having participated in defrauding customers and money laundering. He mentioned Sam Bankman-Fried, Gary Wang, Caroline Ellison, and Ryan Salame as co-conspirators.

The FTX group proposed a deal with Telegram, which would cost them $120 million. The CEO's plan, as he later shared with his board of directors, was to create a payment processing service for Telegram. FTX could receive $100 million in TON tokens as payment.

Although Singh and other members of the group expressed concerns about the risks of acquiring illiquid tokens, Sam decided to push ahead with this plan.

These efforts did not amount to anything. Instead, in September TON announced its alliance with Telegram, as well as the integration of the @wallet inside the messenger in partnership with FSLabs.

TON Believers Fund's 5-year lock up has officially begun, and it is closed for new deposits. The period will be divided into 2 years of freezing and 3 years of vesting.

During the vesting period, 1/36 of the deposited funds will be returned to the senders' address every month.

• TON Believers Fund balance: 1,317,379,088 TON (~$2,858,712,621)
• Total deposited: 1,033,647,045 TON
• Reward pool: 283,731,850 TON
• Expected APY: 7,176%

As a result, the funds frozen in TBF are 26.91% (235,989,671 TON) higher than the amounts frozen in inactive wallets.

In total, 2,398,768,505 TON, or 47.52% of the total TON supply has been frozen to date.

Today, the TON Foundation announced a new strategic alliance with the Mantle Network, a leading provider of second-level solutions for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

This agreement positions Mantle Network as the main ally of the TON Foundation in developing more EVM-compatible second-level blockchain capabilities.

TON blockchain passed the public performance test with flying colors.

Its TPS (transactions per second) indicator reached 108,409!
