We don’t fucking need them anymore.

They blocked Nigerians since 2012 and silently tagged us as scammers. The damage they caused is massive. Because of PayPal, foreign clients started seeing Nigeria as “high risk”.

Back then, you’d finish a job, client says “PayPal only” and that’s it. No argument. No payment.
Crypto wasn’t accepted then. Suggesting it sounded like a scam.

Young Nigerians hustling online suffered badly. Freelancing was unnecessarily hard, not because of skill, but because of payments.

Now we’ve moved on.

We have alternatives.
We use crypto.
We built without them.

So why are they coming back now?

Let’s be honest, it’s not for us. It’s for them. Relevance, volume, growth… whatever problem they’re trying to fix.

At this point, we don’t care.

If PayPal comes back, fine.
But they’re no longer needed. They’re not special.

They should’ve stayed away if they didn’t believe in us then.
