TON Community votes to halve network fees
The community has voted in favor of burning 50% of all network fees, with an overwhelming majority supporting the proposal. Details about the vote can be found here. The community votes were distributed as follows:
98.22% voted for the introduction of the mechanism.
1.07% voted against.
<1% abstained.
The next step is the network validator vote, which will take place on June 15. For the new mechanism to be approved, it requires support from at least 75% of validators. Stay tuned for more updates on this significant ecosystem-wide vote.

TON has officially implemented a new deflationary mechanism that will burn 50% of all transaction fees
The TON validators have voted to implement a new real-time burn mechanism that will halve TON transaction fees. This proposal was initially put forward by TON Community on June 1, 2023, and received overwhelming support from TON holders with 98.22% of votes cast in favor.
The validators’ vote was held afterwards, with 76.3% of votes in favor of the proposal. The mechanism went live following the validator vote on June 17 and the burn will continue indefinitely.

DeDust users can now directly transfer tokens between TON Blockchain and the Ethereum blockchain using the official bridge in the backend. Additionally, DeDust's built-in bridge includes support for the Wallet Connect protocol, enabling the use of various crypto wallets such as Uniswap Wallet, SafePal, Rainbow, and others.
Previously, in order to access TON Ecosystem from Ethereum, users had to rely on Metamask. However, thanks to these new developments, accessing TON has become easier than ever before. DeDust has also initiated a user reward program, distributing 120,000 TON tokens to liquidity providers. It is important to note that when utilizing the bridge for transfers, network fees on both blockchains still apply. Likewise, some users may experience stability issues with Trust Wallet when connecting via the Wallet Connect protocol. The Open Network (TON) has introduced an exciting update that allows users to send transactions with end-to-end encrypted text messages, ensuring privacy and security. The decentralized TON Blockchain guarantees message delivery and offers a low network fee of approximately 0.006 Toncoin, making it suitable for everyday messaging.
The encrypted messaging feature is currently supported by standard web and desktop wallets for Windows, MacOS, Linux, and MyTonWallet, while upcoming updates for TON mobile wallets and Tonkeeper wallet will include this functionality for mobile users. This update is a significant contribution to enhancing the freedom, stability and prosperity of TON Ecosystem.
