Telegram has been steadily developing for 8 years, and in celebration, here comes version 8.0 🥳

Live videois now available in Channels– and streams in bothGroups and Channels support unlimited viewers.

We've added a new preview windowfor Forwarded Messages with customization optionslike hiding sender namesor hiding captions on media messages.

You can now quickly read posts from all your channels– without going back to your chat list. At the bottom of a channel, pull up and the feed will automatically switchto your next unread one.

Trending Stickershave a new place in the sticker panel, right above your Recently Used, that you can use to browse and add packs.

Users browsing in their sticker panel now show the status ‘choosing a sticker’in chat (like typing…) to let you know their response is coming soon.

[Q] Web Z version has no sound notification, legacy version works ok
Problem is in the title. New version Z has no sound notification at all, only flashing tab. When I switch to legacy version, I get the sound again. I tried every settings there is in the new version, cannot figure this out on my own.

Phone number was inexplicably banned last night, seems to be unbanned today, but I can't get a login code...
I don't know why, but my registered Telegram number was abruptly banned last night. I submitted a help request through Telegram's support URL, never heard anything back. I decided to try logging in again this morning, and while my phone number is unbanned, I have no way of authenticating, because the service is only sending auth codes to my other clients.The problem is, all my clients are forcibly logged out as soon as I connect. I've tried to get to my account on a couple devices (MacBook Pro, Android tablet) that hadn't connected since before my ban, but as soon as the client successfully connects to the service, I'm forcibly logged out, leaving me no way to get my auth code to log in.I found on various websites that there apparently was a way to force SMS authentication, but I cannot figure out how to accomplish this now. Is there anything I can do? :\
