What counts as online?
What counts as being online on telegram, specifically android? If I have the app open in another tab/window while I'm using another app, does that count as online? Similarly if I have the tab open but my phone is locked, is that online?

[Q] ELI5: Delete Synced Contacts
I went through my phonebook last month and deleted a bunch of old unused contacts (old coworkers and clients). Today Telegram sent me a notification that one of those contacts has joined Telegram, even though I should no longer have their contact in my phone.I did some googling and I think this is because Telegram holds some old sync version of my phonebook? And clearing that might solve the issue in the future.So, are there any downsides (or in general, anything I should know) to pressing Delete Synced Contacts in Telegram? Does it delete old chats from those old contacts as well?Also, when deleting the contacts Android occasionally said "read-only contacts can't be deleted, only hidden". Anyone know how to check my phonebook for any "hidden" contacts? (My phonebook should already be set to show ALL contacts.)Thanks for any help.

i run a dental channel to help, so i want to make a bot to so people can find medical/dental book easily, i used another bot to find books and send them but they banned forwarding and all those channel i forward books from ...don't let you forward books from channel/group or from bots..

Cannot see Subscribed Channels
Hi, I installed Telegram on a new phone and even though I subscribed on quite a few channels I don't see them on my front telegram page where before I could see them. I can only see them appearing all when I click on the circle on the top right when I make a search. What is the option to have all my channels on the front page like i had before please? Thanks

Me and my wife's 3+ years of chat just deleted itself? did we hit a data cap or something?
We were texting when both of us experienced a seemingly random interruption, after we go back in the chat log had been fully wiped... 3 years of texts just gone in an instant, no warnings, no dialog to explain what had happened.I thought one of us might have had our account hacked despite us both using two factor authentication, so we changed our passwords and checked our recent logins but everything was clean.If we did reach a data cap, I would have appreciated some sort of warning... Also wouldn't it be more user friendly to just say the data cap has been reached for the chat and then start deleting from the top down to make room as you continue conversing instead of nuking the whole thing? luckily I don't think there was anything particularly important in that chat, but it does still suck.
