Can someone read messages from a secret chat? Real or Bug?
Hello, everyone. Two months ago, my friend and I switched to secret chats on Telegram because secret chats are the ones that use end-to-end encryption. The Telegram team says nobody else can decipher them, including us here at Telegram. However, I started noticing that my messages in the secret chat are marked as "read" when my friend is offline. The first times I thought I or my conversation partner was having internet problems. But then it started happening again. My friend claims that he hasn't read my messages offline in any way and hasn't touched his phone at all. I believe him. I contacted Telegram support, but unfortunately I haven't heard back from them in two months. We tried recreating secret chats and everything remained the same.Are secret chats in Telegram a myth? Can someone read us? Or does the Telegram team have this nasty bug that they aren't fixing and aren't going to? Has anyone encountered something like this?

Telegram showing the same image
I have been using Telegram for a long time without any problem.Then all of a sudden, no matter what I click from a particular channel I want to view, either a file, an image or a video, it shows me the same image I sent to a friend 2 days ago. If I want to watch a video, I get the sound of the video but what I see is not the video I just clicked but the same image I sent to a friend 2 days agoI hope I am clear.Can someone please help me?I tried clearing my entire cache, restarting Telegram, etc. I cannot see anything I click.

Message scraper
Can anyone suggest a good method or have a demo to harvest messages from groups on Telegram without getting banned? I tried one demo using the Telethon but have now had two numbers banned almost immediately after the code finishes. I'm hoping to grab the group name, date/time, the message, and save it as a CSV. Thanks in advance.

Stop telegram from running in browser?
Hello I've stopped running telegram in my Firefox browser (Windows) some time ago. But the program is still running, since I'm receiving notifications from firefox when a new user joins telegram. How can I eradicate it from firefox completely?

I noticed a strange notification behavior with iPhone
Hi, I noticed that notification appears in the iPhone lock screen but no sound or vibrations happens. Notifications do not arrive to Apple Watch also. I checked the iPad and it work normally. I Checked both telegram and iOS notification preferences and it's all turned on. Already tried to restart iPhone/Watch and uninstall Telegram app. Any way to fix this?

I have downloaded an episode but its not saved to my gallery and i also cant delete it?
Where is this file saved? How is it not in my gallery? i cant delete from telegram or from gallery so how do i delete that media?I rarely use tele so any help is appreciated. Ive searched some info up and it's apparently in a 'cache folder'? How do i change where it downloads so it will always appear in a gallery album/folder and also make it possible to always delete it when possible?Very sorry if stupid question

What counts as online?
What counts as being online on telegram, specifically android? If I have the app open in another tab/window while I'm using another app, does that count as online? Similarly if I have the tab open but my phone is locked, is that online?

[Q] ELI5: Delete Synced Contacts
I went through my phonebook last month and deleted a bunch of old unused contacts (old coworkers and clients). Today Telegram sent me a notification that one of those contacts has joined Telegram, even though I should no longer have their contact in my phone.I did some googling and I think this is because Telegram holds some old sync version of my phonebook? And clearing that might solve the issue in the future.So, are there any downsides (or in general, anything I should know) to pressing Delete Synced Contacts in Telegram? Does it delete old chats from those old contacts as well?Also, when deleting the contacts Android occasionally said "read-only contacts can't be deleted, only hidden". Anyone know how to check my phonebook for any "hidden" contacts? (My phonebook should already be set to show ALL contacts.)Thanks for any help.
