700 million active monthly users, will Telegram surpass Messenger?
Amidst the Premiurm debate this news was a bit overshadowed - TG's got 700 mil monthly active users. That's huge, they are hitting critical mass to take on Facebook products, WA and MSN. MSN currently sits at around 1 billion and WA at 2 billion. That's still a massive advantage, but with the current growth of TG, if only they don't make some huge mistakes, I believe they can surpass at least FB MSN within the next 2-3 years. What you reckon?PS. It depends on the country, though. In my country, Poland, the arguably pretty shitty Messenger is having a much larger userbase (23 to 4 million), but in the last few months, partly due to the Ukrainian refugees, who use TG as the default, lots of people in Poland turn to TG, to ease the communication. No notifications or voice message sound on Desktop (Windows)
The desktop app was working flawlessly, until one day it disappeared from my volume control panel on Windows. It didn't play sound on either notifications, voice messages, or calls. I could fix the calls issue by going to the settings and changing the output device, but I've had no luck with the notifications and voice messages. Tried reinstalling and didn't work either. Any solution I can try?

I can't seem to join a group through an invite link?
I've been trying to join a group through a link that was sent to me on whatsapp, but of course it always open my browser app (Im on android), and I can't join anything from there. I haven't found any option in the app to paste an invite link, and I tried doing it through the desktop app but syncing also conveniently decided to not work (QR code is deemed invalid or I get a "network error", and I never receive any confirmation code if I try to sync through my phone number.Did I miss something, or is a very basic feature terribly made?

how do I STOP tele from saving pictures
Telegram automatically saves pictures and videos I take via the app to my gallery despite my setting boxes being off. This recently started when I got an update (?) to Telegram. I got a bunch of messages from tele talking about new updates. V 8.8.2 (2702) Android.

How to save individual images from an album?
I'm using the iOS app. When an individual image is sent in a chat, I can long press the image and then select "save image". But when someone sends multiple images at once and they're grouped together into an album, I can't do that. Long pressing any of the images just brings up options that have to do with the album as a whole.

[Meta] Telegram needs to support multi-file-uploads as uploading remains throttled even on premium accounts!
I understand that this is not an official channel but just putting this out because I have not yet seen this discussed here much. Plus, a lot of people like me got fooled into thinking that premium plans also offered unrestricted uploads which it doesn’t. Their announcement is clear about this. I just did not read it carefully I guess lol.Right now, Telegram only uploads one file at a time. This is fine for regular chats where you might be sharing screenshots or smaller files. But this becomes a problem if you are uploading a large file in one of the chats. This basically stops any upload of screenshot or anything in other chats. This also applies to premium.With premium offering 4GB, this becomes an even bigger problem especially if you are getting very restricted upload speeds (I barely get 5mbps on Telegram Desktop here. WebK improves it to 30mbps sometimes.)If this is being done to prevent abuse of their cloud storage, the least Telegram can do is to prioritize smaller files as they are shared. Pause the bigger files being uploaded and upload the smaller ones first.This issue is listed multiple times on their suggestion tracker but votes are getting divided, so they are not at the top of the issues lists. I hope Telegram developers know about this issue and are planning on resolving this in a future update for both free and paid users!

Timer Pictures Blurry?
Its been a couple of days since I can't see the pictures I'm receiving when its on timer from others. I have an android, and a Samsung to be more specific. Is this a recent problem or bug? Anyone else experiencing this??

ReScrapper - Reddit Scraper that saves to Telegram
Just made a app that deploys to heroku, takes any saved posts from reddit (can be reprogrammed to post from subreddits or users as well) and uploads it to a private channel on telegram in original quality if possible. Still can't handle sites that have hardened rules against bots but otherwise able to handle most stuff. Rather modular so if support for more sites is needed can be added easily.https://github.com/psantheus/ReScrapperPrimary intention of the bot is to keep a saved copy of the file if possible because Reddit bans on unmoderated subreddits/post deletions basically mean you won't have access.Also fixes the problem of limited to past 1000 saved posts in a way, now you can just go through your telegram channel in reverse to find all saved posts.

[Desktop/PC] Windows 11 Telegram audio files are MP4 instead of MP3
Do I have to manually conver MP4 to MP3? On Windows 10 it was perfectly fine downloading audio into MP3 but now its MP4
