Cached videos I never watched/opened?
Can anyone tell me why my telegram folder on my phone (telegram video folder) why does it have a sh*t load of videos downloaded that I never opened or watched nor would they even be in the groups I frequent. I had like a couple country music videos and all kinds of random stuff. Does telegram just like pre-load every video in every group ahead of time or something? Thanks in advance to anyone who can fill me in.

[Q] Download won't finish
So I've always had problems with Telegram when it comes to uploading and downloading files. Most of the time, the upload/download won't finish, it suddenly stops and I have to start it again from scratch. For instance, I'm trying to download a file (quite a big one, 1.9GB), and I have managed to download 1.1GB of it, but then the download stops and I have to restart. This is happening both in the app and on desktop, there doesn't seem to be a pattern, for instance, the last time I tried downloading the file, it went up to 300MB and then reset. I tried using download manager bots but they limit the download speed harshly, I'm downloading the file right now using a bot and it will take about 3 hours, while downloading directly from Telegram would take an hour. So I'd like to know if somebody has this issue and if they have found a solution. So far, I have tried: different browsers, updated the app, restarted my internet modem, tried with desktop, tried with VPN, nothing has worked so far.

Video compression and smaller size even when I choose to upload it as file
Hello,I have uploaded a movie mp4 file on a private channel. The original file is around 600mb. After the upload, the uploaded file is around 180mb. I did upload it as a file and also tried to upload through drag n drop and chose no compression. Same results. This is happening on the desktop client, didn't try it on my phone.Is this compression the default for uploading videos?Thank you in advance for your answers.

Version 1.4.2 beta (TD 2.8.11)

Since this version caught some beta version commits, the beta has been released. But aside from sources update, there is a few new features and fixes:

* Manually choose notification mute time. Default options (1 hour/4 hours/18 hours/3 days) are replaced by input field, where you can choose notification mute time yourself.
* Auto-login option for Telegram sites. Telegram Desktop have it always enabled, but if you don't like it for some reason, you can disable it now.
* Multi-threaded video decoding option. When enabled, video may lag less often or don't lag at all, but it will require more CPU and RAM consumption. Also you can limit thread count with ffmpeg_thread_countoption in JSON settings file. Option has been added by @ilya-fedin.
* External video player. This option has been hidded under videoplayercheat code. Now you can switch it in Kotatogram settings, so cheat code has been removed. In case you haven't heard about this feature from Telegram Desktop, it allows to play video in system video player instead of internal one. Option has been added by @ilya-fedin.
* Sending without "via @bot" mark. Allows to send inline bot results without their mention. Actually works only with @gif, other will only show that message was send without tag. Option has been added by @ilya-fedin.
* Font size JSON option. fonts> sizeallows to set relative font size, i.e. 0 is default, 1 is 1 px bigger, -1 is 1 px less, etc. Option has been added by @ilya-fedin.
* Unfocused auto-scroll option. When enabled, opened chat will auto-scroll if your window is unfocused. Option has been added by @ilya-fedin.
* Backported message self-destruct 1 month option. It also should fix constant crashes when there is at least one chat with 1 month self-destruct option.
* Localized self-destruct messages button to Russian.
* Fixed missing "Copy Share Link" in forward window when a single album is selected.
* Fixed applying of some bundled Kotatogram translations.

Hey y’all I think my girlfriends using telegram to cheat on me. Could anyone answer a couple questions?
Hey y’all as the title says I’m under suspicion that my girlfriend has been using telegram to cheat on me but I have limited information and there are no chats left in the chat section (besides a few exceptions, which I’ll mention)- these questions should be obvious to those who have used the app before, but so obvious you can’t Google them and I don’t want to play with the app for a week to find out.Firstly, When you sync contacts, does it save the contacts to your friends- because looking at the app it seems that many people are added (section that shows contacts, not chat) yet they’re not chatted with- and I didn’t sync contacts when I opened the app on her phone so they would have to be from a previous time.Second, does it automatically add contacts that didn’t have the app or an account when you synced, but then made accounts after, to your chat area with a message of ______ joined telegram? (meaning after she synced her contacts, whenever it was, they then joined the app)Third, is there a way to figure out when people are added or any way to find out who has been messaged, etc?Lastly, please is there any place or cache or anything that would give me ANY information as to her activity on there- any small click, type, save, literally anything.Thank y’all so much for your time and knowledge I really appreciate it.

Recovering deleted telegram chat
I have accidentally deleted a telegram chat for my correspondence, said correspondence needs that chat restored. It contains over 5 years worth of information/data.I have tried all conventional means including exporting telegram data, but the deleted items do not restore.
