Can someone explain to me how media is stored on iPhone and Macbook?
Does „clear all data and storage“ work sufficiently to erase downloaded media, and what are the differences between macbooks and iPhones as regards how media is stored on them?

Need some assistance w/ Unban, please...
Hey guys, I'm needing some guidance, please.So I was part of a channel and ended up messaging a little too fast. Rose banned me. Fortunately, I had also been talking with one of the moderators in DM, so I messaged him asking him to unban me. He said sure and asked what my sn was.This is where the trouble started. I'm new to TG and hadn't set a Screen Name yet, so I did. I then told him what my newly created sc was (@Myname) and he said he would unban me.A few minutes later he showed me a screenshot from the channel where he had typed "/unban @ Myname" (without that space). The reply from Rose was "Could not find a user by this name; are you sure I've seen them before?"It's been over 24 hours since this happened and I still cannot join the channel. Every time I click on the link, it tells me "Sorry, this group is private." I ended up having to create another TG account on my kid's phone to access the channel again, but I want to be back on my phone with my original account. I am still in contact with the moderators on that channel, but they don't know how to fix it either.Any help is greatly appreciated!

Telegram notified everyone that I joined, that is an awful feature
I asked a family member for their phone number to test a bot and now everyone is sending me messages assuming I'm them. That's a very bad thing, and I can't disable that now, it has already been sent. Extremely shitty

I m sending a few groups to an old friend who doesnt have telegram account. he doesnt want to register for mow.only check a few groups discussions. some groups can be opened without logging in,just typing t me/s/group name. but many cant opened by adding /s/Anyone knows the better way ?Thanks a lot.

Can anyone tell me how to stop getting added to spam groups its getting extremely annoying!!!
Hey all, I'm about to loose my sh*t with telegram, why on earth am I getting added to these groups its getting beyond a joke now, this app is the only way I'm able to talk to my father and video call him as well as send him videos etc. and all of a sudden 2 weeks ago I started getting added to random groups for no reason, for the first 3 days I just left it but after having been added to around 200 groups and getting spammed with messages, after looking into it loads of other people have been having this problem, apparently all there problems where solved by changing some settings, so after changing my settings so no one can add me even people in my contacts as well as adding a username, I WAS STILL BEING ADDED, so I researched this again and apparently people in your contacts could be adding you to the groups, after deleting all the contacts that show up on telegram INCLUDING MY FATHERS, I went to sleep to be woken up at 3 Fuc*ing am to be messaged and spammed called, after this is was extremely upset, so was thinking is it worth deleting my account and making a new one to see if that changed anything, after looking into it YOU CANT DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT WHICH IS CRAZY, Since all of this has happened and the only reason why Im using Telegram is to message my father, My last resort is to put it in the reddit group hoping someone can help me because this is getting beyond a joke now.PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!

Telegram X stable got an update in playstore
I had seen other users asking about Telegram X some time ago. I did read here that the beta programme was active and had new versions coming out. An update for the stable version seems to have been released yesterday/today.The link to the dev's channel which describes the changes:

Lost my private channel
Hello. I had a private channel.There I kept my notes, I was the only one in the channel, I don't have a joint link, I'm was the channel owner and administrator.Somehow it happened that I stopped being an administrator on the channel and lost access to my notes and work. I myself did not exactly do this. Please tell me how I can get access back?Actually, it happened on five of my private channels, I stopped being an administrator on the channel and lost access, but 4 access I found all by accident, for the most important I lost access by now.
Any advices?

Telegram links and "Telegram" word banned in celeb subreddits.
So I have been trying to post some telegram stickers I made in some celebrity subreddits like but it's getting auto deleted. When asked, they told that telegram is banned in 500 of celeb subreddits. Can anyone explain why is it so?

Got logged out of my telegram accout
I was using telegram x on android and clicked on a link to join a group. The app instantly crashed, and when I reoppened it, I had been logged out of only that account. The other account was still there. Do I have to be worried about any foul play?

Vs Slack (for work)
Researching alternatives to Slack and stumbled across Telegram, never considered it. We have a team of 25.One of the key features we want is expiring messages. This forces people to think of this as temporary vs long term record information which we want them to use Clickup for. The free tier of Slack had 10k message cap which we saw as a feature. Sadly many cool features (huddles, larger video calls) are gated to paid tiers.There many benefits I see to Telegram over Slack * Expiring message settings by group/person * Free * Better media library * call recording (replacing Zoom) * video and audio messages (paid only)
* polls (requires add on, not native) * voice chat rooms (like slack huddles) * hashtagsWithout further testing it looks like feature parity with some unique ones, while all being free.The things that look challenging: - signup with phone number (plan on using their business google voice) - can’t delete users or mange them (you can group by group though) - Threaded replies are not as clean (they post back into group vs separate)I’ve but fully tested this out with the team though. Any other cons I’m not considering.I just find it odd that there is no one else doing this or sharing this use case. Looks quite capable.Thanks!
