Banned from groups
If I am banned from a group and when I delete my account, all my data is gone? And I can make anotther telegram account and be able to join the group again?

Is suggest frequent contacts broken for anyone else?
Hi, I don't know if I'm the only one that is facing this issue, the people I talk to everyday don't show up in the direct share menu, instead the ones holding the spot are people I haven't message in weeks. I tried everything to fix it, I even deleted and installed the app again, but nothing seems to work.

Can someone explain the real usage for this app?
Is this useful for American in US that doesn't have an international social circle?I periodically see this and joined here for a while and dl and deleted the app a few times but just can't see myself using it. Am I missing something?

My telegram video calls on both mobile and tablet are extremely zoomed in so can't see peoples full faces. Happens in both landscape and portrait mode. Is there a setting I need to change? The only way I can see someone is if they hold their phone far away from them....

Storage path — bug?
When I clear Telegram cache in app, the storage path that was set to external gets reverted to internal. Is that intended? It's kind of annoying to manually set it up again and again.Edit: This is on Android 8, app on its latest version. No idea if it happens on other devices.

What does deleting a chat do?
I used Telegram for about two years to talk with someone I was with for awhile, but now that we've split, I don't want to be connected to them. I want to delete their profile from my chat history, I don't want to see an archived chat of their name, but I don't want to end up deleting our entire chat history. Does selecting "Delete chat" instead of "Clear history" remove the profile from my list, but keeps the messages I sent to them, like "Close DM" on Discord?tl;dr I want to remove my ex's profile from my available chats, to not be connected still, without removing the history we had on their end too.​EDIT: The only option I can see being possible is a full account deletion. Someone I talked to on the app as well changed accounts, and I still have their deleted accounts chat history along with their new one so.. I'm assuming if I do that, it'll keep everything preserved?

[Q] How to prevent people from writing on discussion groups but let them comment channel messages
Hi there, as title said I have a channel where I've enables discussions on posted messages.The problem is that I see people joining the discussion group and writing stuff unrelated to channel messages.I've tried to prevent this by limiting permissions and not letting anyone write anything but that removed the ability to comment on channel's messages.Is there a way to achieve what I described in the title, if so it would be very cool.Thanks in advance, bye!

Telegram on work phone?
Just wondering what everyone thinks about using Telegram on a work phone? Safe, risky or a terrible idea? Is there a way for the employer to see what's being said in the app? I did turn on password and fingerprint security, so in theory, they wouldn't be able to unlock the app if they had physical access to my phone.

We should use Telegram channels that don't own
If the owner of a channel or group has deleted their Telegram account, the administration and ownership must be transferred to someone else. just like Whatsapp. Also, if the only owner of a channel and group is an admin and that admin deleted their account, that group and channel should also be deleted completely.In this way, everyone can have the telegram channel name they want. Others can use channels that are unnecessary and not used for years.

Answers in discussion group as the name of the discussion group
Basically I recently made a channel and a discussion group along with it, problem is when I write in the discussion group I write as the name of the group not as mine, I know for a fact that you can sign as yourself in your discussion group but my friends can't remember how they did it so I'm asking here

Sending file bigger than 2 GB.
How do I send a file that's bigger than 2 GB on telegram? Can it be done or do I need to find some alternative? If anybody knows about any alternatives, please do comment.

I want to delete all messages in a Telegram group
I'm admin in a Telegram group i want to delete all messages. however, Rose and GroupHelp bots can delete messages published after they are added, that is, they cannot delete the previous ones. How can I solve this. Thanks
