Is Roxman hinting at NFTs in Telegram?

❤️ Not long ago, the Telegram team introduced a new update to the messenger. What’s new?

— Affiliate Program:
The most exciting addition, allowing all Telegram users to become project partners and automatically earn a share of bot revenue in Telegram Stars.

— AI Sticker Search:
AI can now find stickers based on complex queries, like “dog in a cap.”

— Story Collages:
You can now attach up to six media files in a single story.

— Media Placement in Messages:
Images can now be attached not only at the top of a message but also at the bottom.

NFT Stickers in Telegram — Coming Soon!

The TON team has announced the upcoming launch of NFT stickers in Telegram. According to the plan, this should happen with the December update.

TON Foundation Heads East

Earlier this week, the TON Foundation announced the registration of the TON DLT Foundation.

➡️ What is TON DLT Foundation?
It’s a new organization based in Abu Dhabi aimed for promoting TON in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions.

The TON DLT Foundation was established under ADGM, a Web3-friendly environment in the UAE.

⭐️ Discussions about the potential of cryptocurrencies among governments seem far from over. Lately, we’ve been seeing more and more of these conversations.

In the long run, this is great news, and we’re thrilled to see the crypto industry reaching new heights!

TONs are coming to the US again

Trump's victory in the US presidential election is one of the biggest victories for the crypto community, as the industry has not just stopped being “strangled”, but has started to help it develop.

At the moment, there are no those in power who are willing to question the future of cryptocurrencies.

Paid Entry to TMA: Greed or a New Captcha?

The Telegram / TON ecosystem evolves daily, and we're witnessing the emergence of new mechanics in Mini Apps.

But not all of them can spark positive emotions for everyone...

One of the latest examples is paid entry, which requires users to pay in Telegram Stars.

➡️ A project that was one of the first to adopt this mechanic, generating a lot of buzz, is Memhash.

We won't dive deeply into how the project works—it's enough to note the presence of a paywall.

➕ Pros:
— Monetization from the start;
— Reduced competition among users;
— Prevention of bloated user counts caused by bots (though some developers might consider this a drawback 😁);
— Potential independence from advertising.

➖ Cons:
— High entry barrier for users, especially compared to the broader free TMA market;
— Users may simply ignore the project if they aren't familiar with it, especially when asked to pay upfront.

⭐️ You could say that a paid entry in Stars for Mini Apps = a new captcha for filtering out low-quality traffic.

What trends do we believe in?

The past year has been fundamental for the development of the TON ecosystem: we’ve come a long way from Notcoin to the announcement of NFT stickers in Telegram.

And we’re confident that next year will bring even more innovations and excitement. Here are the trends we anticipate in 2025:

1️⃣ NFT Stickers in Telegram
In December, the TON team announced the integration of NFT technology into Telegram stickers.

The first project to showcase this feature will be DOGS, launching this month.

The groundwork is already laid: there’s an NFT sticker store and a Telegram channel for store users.

What’s next? Likely a hype cycle around this innovation and the emergence of many follow-up projects.

2️⃣ Telegram Stars
Stars and blockchain will integrate even further, continuing to blur the lines between Web2 and Web3.

Developers will be offered business solutions involving Stars — making it the simplest way for people to spend money.

3️⃣ The Rise of SocialFi

On the night of December 20–21, Telegram launched the long-awaited marketplace for NFT stickers — Sticker Store.

⭐️ Currently, the app features collections from Blum, DOGS, Flappy Bird, and even BAYC, all available for purchase with Stars. BAYC performed the best, becoming the first to sell out stickers priced at 5,000 Stars each. In the future, Notcoin and Pudgy Penguins are also expected to join the lineup.
