🚨#BREAKING | President Erdoğan has announced he will meet with the DEM Party’s İmralı Delegation tomorrow. While maintaining anti-terror rhetoric, he hinted at movement in the peace process. “We will receive the DEM delegation to achieve a terror-free Turkey. We will revive our region with Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Alevis, and Sunnis,” Erdoğan said at today’s AKP group meeting.

FREEDOM FOR ÖCALAN Conference 🕊

Today in Rome at 3 p.m. will start the International Conference Freedom for Öcalan.

Many prominent organizations, movements, associations and personalities will gather in Rome and discuss how to take the Campaign for Öcalan's Freedom forward and on a broader level.

As Kurdish Women's Movement we will also partecipate in the Conference and share our perspectives and ideas on this question, that is a fundamental basement of our struggle.

Many evaluations were made today by prominent personalities during the first day of the Conference for the Freedom of Ö, about the efforts and achievements of the campaign, and the future steps we want to take together.

"It seems we are about hundreds calling for and putting in work for the Freedom of A.Ö. but we are many more and this didnt only start in October 2023 - it began in 1999, when A.Ö. has been abducted. Many friends called for R.A.s freedom while entering a hunger strike or even burning themselves - we need to think of them, too. The vigil in Strasbourg, that has been going on for many years and has been visited from different people: Kurdish Êzîdî, Kurdish Alevî, Internationalist, is still continuing until today[…].
Together we are putting in efforts and we can see the results. Together we can achieve our goal!"💥

Highlights from the International Conference Freedom for Öcalan 2nd Day 🕊
 
Pervin Buldan, member of Parliament of Turkey for the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) and İmralı Delegation Member, gave a speech about the strategy to transform authoritarian regimes with the Power of Democratic Society.
 
She went over the discussions with Mr. Öcalan and the political developments related to the Call for Peace and Democratic Society, emphasising the fundamental importance in changing the conditions of Öcalan's imprisonment.

Legal amendments, Security and phisical Freedom of Öcalan are basical conditions, in order to let him work on the process.

❗️She stated that they will meet the Justice Minister and this process should be completed within a couple of months, by the end of June.

UN supports the Call for Peace and Democratic Society of Mr Öcalan

The experts of United Nations Human Rights Office released a declaration in support to Leader Apo's Call for Peace and Democratic Society

And express the need that Turkey takek concrete steps to fullfil the peace process in a legal and transparent framework, gives count to the violations of human rights and listens to the request of PKK like the release of Mr Abdullah Öcalan

The conference participants gave their support to the call for ‘Peace and a Democratic Society’ of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

The conference participants highlighted how the campaign has led to political pressure on relevant international organizations such as the Council of Europe, the CPT and the Turkish government.

Öcalan's call is a chance for peace in one of the most critical regions of the world such as the Middle East and his paradigm became a source of inspiration for societies around the world.

In conclusion, five proposals were made to be implemented to enable the Kurdish issue to be resolved through the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan
